The much easier question is who don’t you want traded?

Trade Adams

Post by dalyc »

Tay’s a ball butcher. He’ll soon turn 28 so won’t form part of our next flag push. Trade him and get something while he has some value.

Other teams aren't stupid.
The new coach will have to get a plan where Tay handballs 90% of the time to a team mate running by.

He gets to see out his contract under the next coach, but must improve his disposal standard. The ball slaughtering needs to STOP.
We need to remember that total dipshit ruckman Grundy busted Adams' knee in the GWS game some months back, so he gets benefit of doubt for 2021 IMO.
Adams deserves a solid pre-season under a new coach; clean slate, as do many other on the list.

Can he stop stooping when kicking as he drops the ball way too close to his foot, causing a cramped kicking action and atrocious disposal.

He’s 28. If he hasn’t fixed his disposal by now I don’t see what he’ll do now to change. Granted he had the injury but it’s not a recent thing that just emerged.

Adams with a decent outside mid around him is a jet. Beast at the contest. When he has to play both inside and outside he battles. He should be limited to hand balling and kicking it 50.

Who’d follow a captain that can’t reliably hit a man 30 metres away?

Next faz for Taylor will be as he gets older and slower he’ll be caught with the ball much more. He’s already to slow to snap fast and accurate kick pass and decisions are not his forte he’ll be easy pickings.
Has to be traded.

Adams' best work is done in and under the contest. His final quarter performance against Richmond illustrated his strengths.

I doubt his kicking efficiency improves. It's always been a weakness of his game and at age 28, old habits are hard to kill.
