Richard Cole is ahead of nobody, ever, even Adams dodgy kicking is nowhere near terrible Richard Cole standard

I don’t understand the Adams bashing. His kicking isn’t that bad, and if it is, his grunt work on the ball more than makes up for it. It’s obvious what he gives us when he’s not playing.

I'm with you 100% love Adams on the field - gives it his all.
I'm wondering if the doing his groin so badly isn't a good thing - some injuries heal better when they are more significant - Plantar fasciitis for one, although I expect I'm dreaming.

He’s a warrior, never gives up. Luke Ball came back from groin injuries when everyone thought he was finished and won a flag. And give Dr Hans a call!

Threads like this make me laugh
Experts here say his disposals are shit
Well career he averages 66% disposals eff
Sidey career 63.2% disposal eff
Career 24.8 disposals a game
Sidey 23.7 disposals a game

Based on you experts we get rid of Sidey as well ??

His groin is a major issue and very hard to recover from ripping it off the bone if that’s what’s happened
Major surgery and a long rehab with limited activity
Pushing 30 doesn’t help either
But he’s a heart and soul player
Take him out of the middle last weekend and we aren’t likely in the game
He was winning centre clearances or when he didn’t he stifled and hindered the cats exits
He tackles anything that moves and lets the opposition know he’s around

Spiritually he’s been the leader of this team for a couple years

Personally I’m glad some the posters here have no say at the club we would be a complete rabble if they did

Taylor Adams has given his all for Collingwood.
He has flaws in his game that I know he has worked hard to improve.

I feel for him with such a serious and painful injury.
I wish him all the best in his recovery and look forward to seeing him running around in the black and white once again.

Get well soon Tay!!!

Sure, lets trade a player just because he's now injured.

He's a true leader on the field and our proud vice captain.

He is our clearly our best and possibly only gutsy in and under midfield player.

Tay deserves our respect and thanks for all he has given us. I hope he can recover from this major setback. In the meantime he will be almost impossible to replace.

Whoops.

Sidey's DE / Adams DE

2015: 77% / 63%
2016: 76% / 72%
2017: 72% / 70%
2018: 74% / 67%
2019: 73% / 68%
2020: 66% / 64%
2021: 72% / 65%
2022: 69% / 59%

and don't look further back, the stats before 2015 favour Sidey even more.

Good luck to Tay in his recovery. He's been a warrior for us and hugely important in the contest.

BUT, his kicking is rubbish. Has technique issues that for some reason either him or the club, or both don't want to, or don't know how to address. Basic fundamental biomechanics stuff.
Does it contribute to his groin injuries? Possibly. His timing is completely out.

There's one thing that will come up in the match review though FOR SURE. In a fast beak situation we had the cats scrambling. Our runners had linked up beautifully, Adams was next in the chain, Degoey surged passed him by his side running shotgun through the 55m mark. Tay looked at him and burnt him. Absolutely criminal. That handball HAD to be given, but Tay opted to be the hero. He stuffed up his kick, but that's secondary to the point . We were on the up with a chance to go 3-4goals up.

Does anyone know if he ended up re-connecting with the little girl who lifted his spirits after the game?

The only liability is your insight to the game and lack of observation of what he's delivered for us this year. The blokes a warrior.
Pull your head in.
