Amongst all the joy and relief felt after the final siren blew, I also felt so very sad for Tay. To see the tears streaming down his face was heart-breaking. Same for Johnny Noble.
The hard luck stories of footy can be really cruel. There's Billy Frampton with a premiership medal around his neck (all glory to him - not saying he shouldn't have been selected), but Johnny Noble who has played so consistently with so much courage and ferocious determination over the past two years had such a look of anguish on his face. I remember how he won the game aqainst Adelaide with a brilliant goal, but could just not retain his place to the end of the season. So heart -wrenching for him.

In the end it wasn't about trade value but facilitating a new start for a favorite son and a true and loyal servant of the club.
Well played Tay and fare the well in future.

It's not about value it's about smoothing the path for a loyal clubman.

Now that it happened and confirmed and the club has said farewell, reality is here.
It's sad to see Tay go. We wish him all the best.
Now it's excitement and expection time: Shultz to come to Collingwood.
A spot opens up for Macrae.

Oh & what gifting them a flag, FFS, no loyalty, I cannot watch the GF replay now & Adams with those crocodile tears, we stuck by him & this is how he responds.

He'll get a round of applause from me when we play Sydney.
Well, the first time, anyway...

33 is fair - he wanted security that we couldn't promise, and given his age and injury profile, helping a loyal clubman extend his career by 2 years is a fair outcome all round.
