Brodie Holland is the most over-rated Collingwood player on our list.
His stats last year were complete crap and I can't stand watching his telegraphed kicks anymore.
Dick and Toovey are about the only players he could replace at the moment unless Pendlebury's form turns for the worst.
If we play Holland, we simply conceed he will play 2 top games per year against Carlton.

Favourites he has on going problems with his achillies prob just on light duties
Tannin i agree play the kids but you need players out there to give them enough confidence to win we dont want them going out there getting flogged every week

B Holland straight back in.
He is 1 of the hardest taggers in the game he is strong, hard at it & can run a game out just what the kids need.
Drop Neon this will let him & all seniour players know they now have to earn there spot.

Holland should be an automatic selection...he is fighting fit and will be itching to get back out there...and think his touch of class will cap off the side

I dont think he should be an automatic selection, unless injuries etc demand it, he will probably be a bit rusty let him play at least one match at Willie.

Shocked, mostly because Brodie is one of my favourites. I woulda thought that even one-legged and blind he'd be in our best 22 for his hardness and his harrassment of the opposition. He was firmly in our 22 last year - you wouldn't have
dreamed of excluding him if he was fit. Has he lost his spot just because some 60-kilo 17-year-old kicked a goal on Anzac Day? Hate to be a naysayer, but... big deal. Nothing will ruin our kids faster than everyone jumping on their backs because of one or two good performances.

Agree with you Streak and also with your Al from 'Deadwood' avatar!

I just don't see it in Holland. I respect your opinion though Streak.
I've lost count of how many times he has gone the bump instead of applying a tackle only to cost us a goal.
I've lost count of how many times he has set someone up with a hospital kick.
And he doesn't win the ball or kick goals any more and he is not quick.
IMO he makes up our last 3-4 places at the moment. But hey thats just me.

The hardness and harrassment is what we miss with him. I think he is a given to be an auto selection against Carlton. Rough em up a bit, and in all of that, he can actually kick a goal...or 8

He just doesnt miss targets...and one of the only guys i would back in 9 times out of 10 to kick a goal. He has a great goal sense.
Most of all he has that asshole about him that gets up an opponents nose. We probably lack a tagger at the moment...lockyer is more suited to a smallish midfielder, not the number 1 ball winner, and Licuria is out with a hammy.
Its not like Brodie is coming back from injury...so there is no need to go lightly on him...bring him straight back...he will be in peak physical shape...and let him go mad

Partially agree with you Lethalburns. Like his hardness at the contest, but don't think he's the smartest footballer going around and don't rate him as more than a fringe player in our current side - somewhere between 16-22 picked. Don't know what he's like as a bloke as I've never met him, but on outside appearances he seems to be a guy you'd have fun hating if he played at another club.

Agreed - Leon is underperforming and he is a what, 6, 7 year player...?

Leon will light up AAMI stadium on Saturday. When Dutchy comes back against the scum, most likely Dick or Toovey will be forced to make way. How long is it since we have had trouble fitting our good players into our side. This is a very, very good sign.

Holland will come back into the side at the expense of Dick (I don't mean nothing, I mean the player).
Dick has been great (the bad jokes just keep on coming) but at the end of the day he's not AFL ready yet. If he stay's in the side for the entire season he will most likely sustain a serious injury as he just hasn't got the muscle around his frame to suitably protect him from the constant battering it will get.
Also Holland's aggresion will only enhance an already firing midfield. The boys pressure and attack on the man and ball has been first class and Holland will only increase that pressure plus add a little mongrel to the midfield.
