Yes, I am starting to capitulate to the overwhelming tidal wave of injuries. I am coming round to the idea that this is not our year...with Tom Mitchell now out for the medium term.
It is just a devastating tsunami of injuries that has erupted at random and without warning.

Free Julian Assange!!

It's certainly been an injury plagued season so far. However, most are likely to become available in the coming weeks.
Once we have WHE, Pendles, Checkers and JDG back in the side in 3 weeks, with (hopefully) Cox, Elliott and Mitchell back at the pointy end of the h & a season, we'll be in a powerful position to smash all and sundry come September. Who knows, we might even have McStay available.
So while injuries have hit us hard so far, there's no need to throw in the towel. Touch wood, we are over the worst of it, and the good thing is it has given us an opportunity to fast track the development of some new players.

The Magpies have a six-day turnaround until their bout with the Kangaroos at Marvel Stadium and are unlikely to regain any key names from injury despite their long list of absentees.
Reef McInnes made his return from concussion protocols over the weekend in the VFL and could be considered for the game against North Melbourne to pair with Nathan Kreuger
