Total agreement here.

Both sides open and straightforward which is a welcome turnaround to our dealings with players in the recent past.

Hopefully this is how we operated going forward.

shawthing wrote:Well done in your time at Collingwood Taylor. We'll miss you, but no hard feelings. It was tough having to miss the GF. They were not crocodile tears. They were real because he bled for our club. Nothing but the best for the future (except Sydney winning a flag of course).
Couldn't agree more shawy - hopefully he comes back at the end of his playing career and plays a role at the club. He'll be welcomed with open arms.
Yep this one - he will suit Sydney well with their younger midfield whereas we need to be building up our younger guys to take on the midfield roles. I think this is a good result for both clubs.

I hope we get a good player for 33 (or however we use this pick)

Mitchell isn't getting any younger. Who else is playing inside mid?

Finlay Macrae

Classy farewell video from Tay posted on the Pies App last night.

Will be a great battle between him and Titch and SCG next year

Strangely, am not sad about this at all.

I guess it helps having 100% confidence in the decisions of the recruiting staff

Looks like his contract was backended with about $800,000 owing, if that's true pick 33 is adequate and it frees up money for Schulz and a depth player, perhaps Billings?

Absolute class alright from Tay. I hope he is NEVER booed by any Pies fans.

^ No, Collingwood fans apparently only boo players that didn't want to leave.

What's this "all class" BS? He was in discussions with the Swans before the GF. Best wishes in filling his wallet but there's no class in dumping the club before the GF.
