Not concerned about Korda's public speaking skills. It's actually refreshing compared to the flamboyant president we had for 20+ years.
Other issues around Korda exist, but public speaking isn't one of my concerns.

I took it as a jab at Eddie.Harrysz wrote:The media's reaction to the impending appointment of Craig McRae as our senior coach has been extremely positive - except for one person. Who might that be? Caroline Wilson of course!
On Monday's Footy Classified she said "We've been listened to Ed for months say that Collingwood needed a high profile experienced coach. And look who they got. Very interesting!"
Is she criticizing Eddie Maguire, Craig McRae, the coaching selection panel, all of the above? It's hard to say with her. If it's Collingwood she'll be critical. And by the way, I never heard Eddie say that Collingwood needed a high profile experienced coach.

If Korda resigned and Peter Murphy took over the presidency for example, would people speak more favourably of the current board?
I just wonder how much of the angst toward the board is centered around Korda specifically, rather than on other issues.

Don’t worry about how he speaks, worry about how much money he makes for the club. More than Ed? Very doubtful.Jezza wrote:Not concerned about Korda's public speaking skills. It's actually refreshing compared to the flamboyant president we had for 20+ years.

I reckon angst has been building for a long time over stuff like voting. Korda resigning won't diffuse that.Jezza wrote:If Korda resigned and Peter Murphy took over the presidency for example, would people speak more favourably of the current board?

Agree. I think the members need a vote in order to move forward properly.K wrote:I reckon angst has been building for a long time over stuff like voting. Korda resigning won't diffuse that.
Whether it's Korda, Murphy or Browne who get elected, I don't particularly care. Just resolve it at the AGM once and for all.

Maybe Korda’s secret plan is to bankrupt the club so his firm can handle the liquidationscoobydoo wrote:Don’t worry about how he speaks, worry about how much money he makes for the club.
