Who cares - Ollie stays until he says he wants out.
Heard nothing from him to suggest he is leaving us just yet.

He can walk to the draft. If he wants to get to Geelong directly, we hold the cards.

Exactly. He is not a free agent and is not in a position to make demands.

Let him walk into the PSD and join North if Geelong do not offer a fair and reasonable trade.

You'd want Geelongs future first round pick as it can't get any lower than it is this year!

We used our 1st round & invested 2 years into him too.

I'd like to see more come our way.

This reminds me of Dawes leaving due to the impending arrival of the Qstick. Turned out to be lose-lose.

We need to wrap our heads around the fact that whatever we receive for a potential Henry trade has little to do with the selection we took him at.
Because the club chooses him at #17, doesn’t automatically make him the seventeenth best player in that draft. That’s like Carlton saying we’re going to move Paddy Dow on and we want pick 3 back in return because that’s what Carlton decided to take him at ( and they would argue they had just invested four years in him ) Tanner Bruhn was something like pick 12 a couple years ago and now off to Geelong also. Does anyone seriously believe the Giants are going to get that back for him. Obviously some players are worth their original spot in the draft a couple years on, while others are worth plus or minus but draft position is nowhere near the key indicator of a players value.
Re any potential Henry trade, I suggest we should all plan for the worst but hope for the best. In my opinion, anything better than mid twenties would be a good return.

He's kicked 21 goals in 15 games this year (2 as unused medi-sub, and how many as used sub?)

Yes, he needs improvement, but he is talented round the goals.

Geelong will have a pick between 15-18, but that sounds like it may be used in the Tanner Bruhn deal. Looking at the Cats list, at players 24 or under, the reality is they will not be offering De Koning, Mires, Close or Holmes. And I've lost hope that we can turn this around and lure Jack Henry instead.

All signs are pointing to Oli wanting this move.

That leaves us with a few options. Trade for unders. Let him go into the draft. Don't approve a deal and re-sign him. Or trade for something we think is fair.

What do we think about Brandan Parfitt? 24yo, 180cm, 111 games, strong-bodied mid. In and out of Geelongs side, but does win contested possessions.

https://afltables.com/afl/stats/players ... rfitt.html

I think he is the one we should ask for in return. With the possibility of upgrading a pick down the line somewhere, or even asking for Parfitt and 46. (Doubt they'll give us 36).

Ratugolea and Narkle are no's from me.

Several "experts' had him in the top 10, we need to push hard. Look what Carltin gave for Cerra, Henry may well up being a much better player. Our position is not entirely helpless.

Has Ollie indicated he wants to leave?
