How magnanimous of you.. don't do us any favours DonDonny wrote:Here's the thread some of you have been sooking about.
It was locked for a few hours, during tonight's game. No 1984 scenario.
However, further repetitive drivel and off topic posts will be deleted.
Enjoy.
Well any club playing their power forward with an injury that is causing him to be totally useless ever single week would need to have their coaching staff cleaned right out.swoop42 wrote:Someone mentioned (probably in this thread) that Cloke has an undisclosed hip injury and I must say I did notice a couple of times tonight he looked to be in obvious pain after falling heavily on to his hip.
No actually, you are wrong. But I am not going to bore you with the details because you always find the darker side of a topic or use criticism or sarcasm as lower forms of wit in attacking people and posters personally to get your message across. Point in question, your above statement.ClokingDevice wrote:Yes you are absolutely right.. as if Ed is gonna take some internet loon seriously..annewilo wrote:
Well I am going to put this to Ed on Thursday. I am going to the Bob Rose lecture and Ed is giving it this year. I am sure Ed will be most interested to hear that Paul Connors, who is meant to be helping David Cloke in the contract negotiations, is bleeting to his brother that Cloke has gone to Carlton and that his brother knows some git, who comes on Nicks and says this to be the case. Trust me, Ed will tell me if this is the case and that they have known this for weeks. He will also be most pleased to test this theory with Paul. So if this is your source, expect a call, oh say by Thursday evening, correcting you.

Unlike some people in here who seem to feel social media is just non involved fan banter, there are actually many people on Nicks BB who have quite legitimate access to people at the club or are themselves actively involved in a variety of associated aspects or projects. Just because they don't repeat or broadcast confidential information constantly, doesn't mean they don't know what is going on. Personally, I am sick of reading unsubstantiated BS in threads like this, just because people wish to take the spotlight or make up something that sounds credible and possible but in actual fact is a lie. And where people like you fail, is because you hide behind the cloak of anonimity. Clearly giving air to those who post without identifying who they are, citing inside knowledge, is a waste of time.
So feel free to cease your insults or incorrect innuendo, anytime in the near future will do. You really do bring out the worst in people, don't you.
Finally, I can positively guarantee you Ed and the board are sweating far greater priorities at the moment than whether Travis Cloke will sign. But people like you are so pre-occupied with the media hype of this non story, that you don't even see any of the bigger picture items....
and it only took 172 pages of posts to get some commen sence
That's just his market value falling.swoop42 wrote:Someone mentioned (probably in this thread) that Cloke has an undisclosed hip injury and I must say I did notice a couple of times tonight he looked to be in obvious pain after falling heavily on to his hip.

Not defending Lappin, but it wouldn't matter who the forward coach is at the moment. With the Cloke saga & Dawes unable to take the simplest chest mark, what can he do?Neil Appleby wrote:I think you're right; Cloke is gone.
Obviously the Club thinks he is gone and thus the statements, very, very pointed statements, by Walshy last week at the signing of Reid and Fasolo.
Cloke has single-handedly derailed our club this year; everybody knows it and it's obvious with every terse statement from Ed and Walsh.
But why are we still playing him? OK play him and get what we can out of him if his performance is helping the team, but I suggest that Cloke's performances over the past 8 weeks has actually harmed the team, not helped it.
It's time for Bucks to drop him .........and who is our forward coach again?
