what are you trying to say Joel lolJoel wrote:Haha. That was actually tried when the the mods first took over from Mike. I think we had something like 27 mods on a rotating shit basis, ie. a week at a time. But, it didn't really work because it resulted in inconsistencies. The exact opposite of what you are asking for.Tess wrote: I'm saying as a group we should look at having a B team to give them a break. .

Dale, you might find that some of those functions aren't available to the mods. I'm not actually aware if they are or not, just pointing out that they might not be able to use those functions. Perhaps it is something that could be implemented in the future. Please bear in mind though that that would probably be up to Mike, as he is the only one who can make changes to the way the board operates.

Some boards in their Admin CP has a function where you can ban a user for a set number of days, I've never used this boards hosting for any forums, most boards do impose a ban, I know that one board set a ban for a 999 days or something close to it, where it would have been easier to ban that user..but whatever works for them I s'pose.
With the carding system it could be worked if someone gets a second yellow they are suspended for X about of days. Then if they are warned again they are gone.
Needless to say the mods will always be criticised for everything they do, like it's been said it's a thankless job that takes a lot of tolerance.

Get stuffed Tess. Why add anything constructive? You will just ignore it anyway.Tess wrote:Joel shut up if you can't add anything to the discussion.Joel wrote:Ahhhh, and it continues.
This will never end.
BTW this is my last post!
This has gone on far too long. You aren't ever going to change your opinion in regards to the mods, you're opinion of Joffa et al will never change (neither will their opinion of you), these are arguments will never stop and the crap will just go on.
Don't expect people to stick up for you either Tess if your start attacking those who try to stay neutral.

obvious, huh... flew over my head.Tess wrote:JLC it's a cute attempt, but as most know I am Transsexual so that makes the Mr Squiggle tag all so obvious. I must say I am extremely disapointed in you JLC, I thought you were above all this crap. You portray yourself as a well educated professional man, but all you are is bigoted arsehole. Did you even think how this would effect me? Well maybe it's time I contacted Gender Victoria and asked them to use the Vilification laws on my behalf.
What I thought was obvious was the original point that JLC was trying to make, but obviously you were looking for something a bit deeper than that....
It reminds me of a scene from Annie Hall
Tony Roberts: Alvy, you're a total paranoid.
Woody Allen: What? How am I a paranoid? Well, I pick up on
those kind of things. You know, I was
having lunch with some guys from NBC, so
I said ... uh, "Did you eat yet or what?"
and Tom Christie said, "No, didchoo?"
Not, did you, didchoo eat? Jew? No, not
did you eat, but Jew eat? Jew. You get it?
Jew eat?
good film, that.
