Tellingly, those were the three who held their nerve during the final term. Thomas, particularly, never stopped attacking the ball. Surprised Maxwell doesn't get more votes here, he is fantastic back there.

And finally:
?. Pendlebury

Can someone explain why I never see him get the ball? Apart from kicking an important goal, I didn't see him do anything. Would have had at least six or seven players ahead of him for BOG. Perhaps Ray Chamberlain and I need glasses?
:?
let me know where you are getting your glasses from, and we might be able to get discount from bulk buy :P

I too did not notice Pendles (and Swan) much. So I was surprised he got the medal, and that Swan has the most possessions. I thought Daisy was BOG because of his consistent attacks, and Leon was back to his good old form :)

I will however watch the replay tmrw and try to focus on Pendles & Swan more.

I think Pendlebury's talent is he gets those possesions close in so you never really see them on the telly. He is such a beautiful user of the ball, it was telling when we lost him in the final series how badly we did with possesions after that.

Votes:

3-Thomas; Really stood up in the last to when it was needed. This kid never stops running or trying
2-Davis; Was the reason today our forward line looked better. We were too top heavy last week
1-Pendlebury: See Above

Special mentions; Ball, Harry and Wellers (Just needs to get in a better head space set shotting)
WELLLINGHAM ROVES IT....AND KICKS THE GOAL!!!!

SWAN'S GOING TO KICK A GOAL. THEY'RE HOME YOU'D THINK I KNOW IT'S A LONG WAY TO GO BUT THEY'RE KILLING THEM NOW!!

Simply put, in the last 5 minutes, Dale was the best player on the ground. He stood up and was everywhere.

3 Thomas (his attack on the ball is sensational)
2 Pendles
1 Leon

Dids very good and Maxy/Harry also. Dids is definitely the man to throw the ball to if your life is on the line.
