Can't keep a good man down, as they say. Epic battle to the end.
Well done Swanny. Well played Nicksters.
A few names on that list we wont see again. Good luck to them, especially Dids.
Three cheers to Cuthbert for his time slaving away compiling the votes.
Bring on 2014. GO PIES.

Congrats Swanny. No surprise. Great pie player. Hope for more of the same next year. Please all, ignore the annual preseason attempts by the media to destabilise his season which willl probably happen again next year. I have read back over a couple of years and there seems to be a bit of a pattern.
He proves himself on the field every year and by the end of the season regains any of the nonbeliever's respect.
Do not doubt it. He is our great player. They can only wish for such a great champion.
Keep it up Swanny we love you.

Congratulations Dane Swan You are the people's champion yet again and you had a superb year overall. It doesn't seem like you're slowing down any time soon despite what some have said in the past.
Very unlucky by Pendles, but he's still a gun and he would have been just as worthy for winning the GB Medal if Swan just missed out on obtaining the winning votes in the end.
I'm surprised to read that Swanny won it back in 2006 considering he missed about two games from injury and that was during a time when he wasn't recognised by many outside of Collingwood!

Yep, 2006 was pretty much the only major upset in the history of the GB Medal. We can certainly pick them!
By the way, thanks for all the tallying CC. You da man for the rest of the week (sorry Dave)!
