Won down by Grundy, booted forward by Hellier.

Corr takes it at HF, quick dish off to Mooney who TAKES OFF!

Open goal, GOAL!

14-1.
Great pick up MB. Missed Corr's contribution. Very courageous and very clean in these conditions.

The Gault

Post by Kosh »

I have been very impressed with the Gault today. I hope he gets a clear run with injuries. He has a lot of poise and is generally very clean with the football. He is one of those footballers that just looks assured with the ball.

As usual Martin was been tagged, but I think his ability to win clean clearances is fantastic.

How have you seen his game MagPieBat?

Same as you mate. Been very good so far, but his tagger is hanging off him like Christmas decorations...

Sitting at home watching the ABC game, they just showed the leading goal kickers and Martin is equal third or fourth with 22 goals. Not bad for a tagged midfielder.

Mooney effects good pressure to lock it up at the top of our square.

Ball up.

Grundy, down to Mooney, snaps... GOAL!!!!

21-1.

Mooney & Reid

Post by Kosh »

The intensity has lifted this quarter as well as the skills. The game is being played in our forward half.

Broomhead just put together three terrific contested efforts to win a free and an inside 50 resulted.

Reidy misses a set-shot after Armstrong delivers very well...

Armstrong

Post by Kosh »

I cant' believe I am going to say this but this is the best game I have seen Armstrong play. He has been everywhere in this quarter. He just won a contested possession and hit Reid, lace out. There..i said it....am now waiting for the sky to close over and the 1st Horseman of the apocalypse to trot past humming Goodbye Dolly Grey.
