If North Melbourne continue on their trajectory, then I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a senior gig elsewhere (even if not at North). Maybe the Kangaroos and Sydney could do a straight swap? He did used to play there, after all.

Perhaps I should clarify and say that my username was chosen with Heater in mind, rather than his less talented brother.

Let me know when Heater is under consideration for a coaching position at Collingwood.

I really like Rhyce and he's doing a good job at North. In a way I hope he gets the job fulltime, but I'd love to see him back at Collingwood.

As you can see by my username I was immediately attracted to this thread for that reason.

The Shaws have been great for Collingwood over the years. Whatever people say about Tony in the media, he will always be our 1990 premiership captain.

And Rhyce will always be the guy who tripped over his own shadow in the 2003 GF. Not that I'm bitter, or anything.

Great? Gary was a dud, so too was Derek and Elshaug was a waste of space.

None of them were related of course.

Gary was one of the worst signings during the Ronald McDonald period. Players like him sent us broke.

Unlike his brother's smother (when you just knew we'd win after that moment), Rhyce's trip up was the game over moment in that game.

At least he had the ball. We had other players who seemed to be allergic to it that day.

Rhyce would slip over on the wing during the huddle. So no thanks.

Get him as senior coach!
Most of my favourite bands start with "M" - Mars Volta, Mastodon, Megadeth, Metallica, Midnight Oil, Misfits...except King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard ~

With Longmire staying at Sydney, looks like Rhyce's chances of being the permanent senior coach of North Melbourne has increased rapidly.
