Tough game - no De Goey, Jamie or Jeremy Howe. 6 kids under 10 games. Away from home against a pretty good team. More scoring shots wasted is really what cost us in the end.
As for the umpire not giving a warning to Sullivan for “wasting time” (unlike all the score reviews), looking forward to all those “Isak Rankine was robbed” people complaining last week.

and we've done this while playing Cox and Schultz. Imagine how we'd go is we levelled the playing field and played 23 against 23.Jezza wrote:The positives.
We’re 8 matches unbeaten. At least we’re not losing and even when we’re up against it we’re still getting something out of the game.
Harrison and Richards were the highlights of the night. Great to see them step up when the team is crying out for youngsters to step up. Both look like they will be significant for us if we’re to have any success this year.

The Sullivan free was shocking.
The umpires get the ball and then wait around for the rucks to be ready so why the huge penalty for a very minor delay.
With two down and tired players we slowed a lot.
Maynard had a poor game, his kicks put us in trouble many times.
Two points is good in the circumstances.

Krueger and Johnson both to come in next week.
They may draft someone on the 29th and play them that night!!
Cox out for one and Mihocek maybe three...
Perhaps McInnes comes back in too.
Frampton will need to play back against the Dogs.
Let's see how many frees are paid for not giving the ball back too the scumpire for the remainder of this round and season- I'm guessing none...
The Pies should lodge an official complaint with the AFL sick of being reamed by the maggots every f*cking week.
Schultz had a chance from 15 metres out to seal the match and blew it...

Anyone else slightly tired of Fly’s ‘save game’ methodology. This schtick is getting boring. During last year’s GF post game pressers hinted at being more “Rocca” than “Presti” in final quarters. I’ve seen nothing to suggest this. I’m over it. Yes we missed a couple of goals to go up 29 or 30, but to not score again, and concede 4.1.25 to 0.0.0 in red time to blow all four points. Cant remember a bigger choke job. We can’t score so forget percentage, this was as good as a loss. So. P!ssed. Off.

There's a reason I feel crook in the guts every time this putrid slag of a thing gets allocated our games.
And this GOLD from the game thread....
Hope you enjoyed your projectile vomiting session Damo.Damien wrote:If anyone here complains about the umpiring so far I’ll spew up!
This is why the game thread is the red-headed bastard stepchild of the forum, where everybody talks absolute shit, and with good reason.

Sure we kicked ourselves out of the game, missing far too many gettable goals.
Sure the umpire gifted the dockers a goal in the last few minutes.
But.......we played a couple of kids in Parker and Allan, who only got games because we were desperately short of players. In addition, we are playing Cox each week because we don't have another ruckman, not because his form deserves selection.
We also lost Checkers at a crucial period of the game. In light of that, I'm actually pleased we came away with 2 points.

Regarding Schultz I vomit every time he goes near it.
We got him to kick goals, we’re 11 rounds in & he’s done sweet fk all.
We were jibbed big time on this deal, make no mistake!

For the remainder of season - all dead stoppage balls we are in possession of to be placed on ground upon whistle in protest, and NOT presented back to MAGGOTS.
They are NOT our friends, they are narcissist LOSERS who refuse to officiate in the spirit of the game.
Pick your own f#cking balls up from now on c#nts.

It’s not that it is boring, it’s that it is turning us into A-grade chokers and has been for a long time.Raw Hammer wrote:Anyone else slightly tired of Fly’s ‘save game’ methodology. How many times in the last year or so have we given up a four goal lead in the last 20 minutes because we go into the mode of running down the clock way too early rather than trying to score ?
We give teams in their last gasp pure oxygen. McRae is a great coach, but Geez, he needs to fix this.
