I also thought the delivery to him was much, much better than it has been in recent weeks.

I understand Travis has The Clash on high rotation on his iPod playing 'Should I stay or should I go'.

Buckley said in his post match interview how important it was to have big forwards stand up for you in the finals.Reading between the lines,i'd say that he realises just how important Travis is to our structures, and that he doesn't want to see him go.

I don't think anyone has ever wanted to see him go. The real question is how much does he want to stay?

Brilliant to see about 12 players rushed up to him when he kicked that first goal just to show how full of shit some people are saying they dont like him anymore and dont support him...

Was also alot better delivery and a more open forward line. But they kicked it out in front where he can outmuscle nearly every defender in the AFL, in recent weeks they have been kicking it over his head where every defender in the AFL could get the spoil in

I still expect him to definately stay and the club will cave. It doesnt have too much salary cap issues, Swanny wont last long and I doubt Daisys next contract will be even half his current one...That is if we dont trade him to Carlton instead

The amount of humble pie you've devoured over the years makes me wonder if you order a crane to leave the house :)

For two months Cloke played without any enthusiasm and wasn't getting much love from the rest of the boys. It's not the five goals he's kicked its the passion and the work rate that was absolutely wonderful to see.
Something has clearly changed, maybe he's signed or maybe he got our blessing to leave and feels like the weight is finally of his shoulders....

I get the feeling Trav may have got something off his chest this week and the boys responded. He certainly came out a different man last night. I've got no doubt all the attention surrounding his contract has had an effect on him and the whole team. I never thought he was playing like he didn't want to be there, instead playing like a man who thought he may be doing the wrong thing and letting the club down. It would've been playing on his teammates minds, thinking "will he or won't he" and such uncertainty is never good for team harmony. I'm not saying everything is suddenly rosey but there were definitely some great signs the whole saga could be behind us.

It was great last night at the game to see Travis make the extra effort and be rewarded. It was gratifying to see the team camaraderie for both Travis and the Krak in particular.

I have always stated that as long as Travis wears the Black and White I will support him. It was rewarding last night to stand up there with the Army and and celebrate his efforts and success.

Lets hope it is a turning point and the boys can put in a formidable challenge for this years cup.
