Hasn't been in our best 22 for a few years now.
Was he 10th in the Copeland last year? Is that an inconvenient fact for you? Do you like cheese?

*the answer to all these questions should be yes

And before I forget:
2013 Copeland Trophy, Gavin Brown Award for leading desire indicators
2012 Copeland Trophy, 7th place
2011 Copeland Trophy, 9th place
2010 Copeland Trophy, Best first year player

Relevant numbers I would have thought.

Okay, so far we have gained Howe and Treloar.
Should we secure Aish Thursday, can anybody [other than Buckley] seriously see Blair in the best 22?
We expect these new guys to come straight into the side, considering the picks we just parted with for them.
The players delisted and traded out in last few weeks spent the majority of their 2015 season playing in the reserves.
So who goes out from the senior team?

I keep coming back to Blair and Fasolo.

*I'm not ranting on Blair at present, simply asking if the 2016 landscape has changed in the last couple of days with these trades....

Both Blair and fas will battle for any game time in 2016 unless injuries kill us.

Likewise Goldy and Toovey.

Excellent servants of the club, but all 4 are bit part players now.

In fact, if a reasonable offer comes tomorrow, dont be shocked if we see Fas involved in a last minute trade.

Dyso has discovered the trade.

Blair + Fasolo for Aish.

If only.

Blair offers important depth. If he plays all year in the VFL so be it but he'll not be going anywhere.

Blair is not going anywhere because "anywhere" doesn't want him!

While I'm not his biggest supporter I don't know where this mentality comes from that we shouldn't be retaining any players that aren't in our best 22. It's the height of folly for obvious reasons.

The only time it becomes germane is if there's a guy in our seniors who is keeping out a better player, but depth never hurt anyone.

Very true but you are mixing up perfect logic with the usual garbage from some Nick's posters....
The strength in any team is in its capacity to cover injury losses and suspensions during the season through their great depth. This is a vital component of any team, especially a team like Collingwood bound for the finals.
