So many highlights. :D

The one that did it for me was Checkers' left foot goal. Just superb.

...yep that, plus Adams' game saving smother at the end.

By the way, Adams has demonstrated that he is our captain in waiting.....hopefully he gets it next season.

I watched a bit before and Stephenson gave a long hand pass to a player in the clear then ran at warp speed to follow up and resume the forward thrust if needed
The kid did several other link plays that counted. A step in right direction

Like Heater's smother in the 2010 GF, this is when I 'knew' that the Gods were on our side and the game was ours...
Yep, such a strange, unfathomable force those footy gods. Some games they have no influence,or are definitely against us, but I too just "knew" that they were on our side in this game. The brilliant goals of both Checkers and JDG in the last quarter were the greatest testament to that.

Watching the replay, I finally found the passage of play from young Daics that was purely magical. Third quarter (I think), he was amongst a pack of players in the middle of the ground. He used his feet soccer-style to control the ball on the ground, then with a delicate, deft little kick gave it backwards out of the pack to Crisp. Extraordinary!!!! He then ran forward, got the handball and delivered superbly to Checkers in the goal square. Just brilliant.

What was also great to recognise in the replay was that Stevo was an entirely different player from a week ago. He worked really hard, showed some sublime dashes of speed, tackled hard and performed lots of 1 percenters. One in particular in the last quarter, where he came out of nowhere to punch the ball clear and stop a likely Eagles mark in front of goal. Another selection win for Bucks and co who took the risk to put their faith in him again.
Well said PP. Daicos definitely has some of his old man's sense and ability. He is developing very nicely and will become a great asset to the team. I can't help but feel that amazing goal against Sydney was his coming of age and cemented his self-belief.
Nice observation on Stevo as well. He did look like a different kid out there on Saturday night. I'm glad for all concerned that he has battled through.

With all observations above we must agree there have been positive steps over a torrid season
And the first final brought many to the fore
Daicos his season and final
Stevo buying in to the team
Cox learns to use his body in marking
Two new lads playing their finals and doing well -Quaynor & Cameron

Always look on the bright side of life I say

Honestly though, who packed themselves when Maynard coughed up that goal late in the game?

I’m not sure if anyone notices, but Quanor’s footy IQ (no pun intended) is through the roof for a kid. He looks to shepherd and block etc. every time for his teammates. He is one smart cookie out there!

Case in point, the final play after picking up Noble’s errant kick in that final frantic minute.

I went and looked at the Quaynor defy nudge to give Adams time to gather the ball
Just imagine the years ahead with he and young Daicos (Josh) and Moore plus DeGoey

He can wait. Pendles can play for a few years more I think.

It's absolutely amazing.

Collingwood win and its because of the umpiring. Every free or missed free is highlighted. The other teams dubious frees and throws or whatever are forgotten about.

Collingwood lose and the umpiring was fair and you cant blame that. Even if it costs you a Grand Final.
