Might? He'd have leading AFL actors in Cameron and Hawkins tutoring him, and they get the world from maggots.Mr Miyagi wrote:Prefer to keep Ollie, he has so much upside and talent. Plus Ginni will be lonely and we don’t want him going to Geelong either (although he might get more free kicks there).
I't would be like studying acting under DeNiro and Pacino...

Unfair to be comparing a KPF to a medium forward, even if Henry plays like one (though this is his major weakness, not a positive at 189cm).swoop42 wrote:Oliver Henry pick #17 2020 AFL draft vs Jamarra Ugle-Hagan pick #1 2020 AFL draft
Season 2022 comparison.

By virtue of his #1 selection in the 2020 AFL draft Ugle-Hagan was declared the best junior prospect in the country.
To date Henry is holding his own up against him.
Now try telling me he isn't worth a 1st round selection in any trade.
Henry has outperformed expectations as a medium forward picked at 17. This means his trade value is greater than 17.
If he's leaving to Geelong we definitely should be holding them to a FRP+. If all they want to give up is a second round pick or a player we're not interested in, I'm happy for us to let him go to the PSD. We can't be handing the Premiers a promising young player at a discount. No Ruths to be given here.
Well done boys!

He did have his brother playing, and I dare suggest the tickets GFC provided to their players for family & friends were all the one section. And I'm sure some of those players he'd know from the Geelong Falcons.Mr Miyagi wrote:Yep saw thatpiedys wrote:Anybody else notice Oli sitting with what were presumably Geelong VFL players, when the broadcast cut to them in the final term yesterday?
Read into that what you will...
He's probably going to request a trade to Geelong, and the only thing we can do is offer him more coin, but it all likely centers around the other players calls (DeGoey in particular).
I find your lack of faith disturbing

Or just burn whatever paltry offer Geebung feel inclined to make, and suggest he try his luck in the draft instead?tbaker wrote:He's probably going to request a trade to Geelong, and the only thing we can do is offer him more coin...
Those VFL crowds he plays in front of might be in excess of what some AFL teams that picks him up might draw.
Better the Devil you know for now methinks; sign for 2 years and we'll give you an out clause if you still aren't happy by then.
