After their great services to football tonight, and their excellent defence of our four-in-a-row all-time record, I have changed my mind.

Footscray, if you want him, you can have Travis Cloke free of charge, with our thanks and blessings. Thanks to your magnificent win tonight, our record is safe for another generation.

Forget that his time is up for Collingwood, I get that and agree. What I don't get, or want, is us to get bent over and pay heftily like other clubs do to us. If people are sayin he's only worth a 50+ pick, then I'm on planet Clare and know zilch about the caper. Geezus get a grip people. Play hardball Pies!
I think the club will be happy enough clearing the salary cap space rather than going in too hard for a higher pick or player and turning Footscray off.
I do hope we do get something decent for him though.

75% of workers change jobs because of their bosses, they don't quit jobs, they quit bosses.

If the Dogs lose tonight, will they have pick 31?

Does that get it done? Or You reckon we'll be asking for that pick and a player like Dale or Jong?
A fair swap would be Bont for Cloke.
Isn't bont a great player.
Went 2 places below us to the dogs for pick 4
We had pick 6 and got a broken car wreck in the Berg
and the steak knives was freeman for pick 10 who played I think one NAB
game.

in 25% of cases, their bosses quit them. This is such a case. No idea whether the boss has it right, but based on Cloke's declining form over the last two years plus, I'd say it is time for a change.

I'm just pleased that we have so many A-grade options to take his place and improve the team. It would be different if we hadn't recruited Jeremy Cameron when GWS were trying to sign him up to a long-term deal.

Shazza is going to be a great player and we upgraded Freeman to Aish who is working out fine.

It's a beautiful day, cheer up :D

Based on last night's performance the Dogs would be mad to recruit Cloke, he would stink up and clog up their agile/quick fwd line structure. If they did still pick him up old Trav may still find himself stuck in the VFL but on a smaller contract. A deserved ending to 4 years of putrid overpaid football.

Based on last night's game, Cloke is just what they need. Even with all his faults, Cloke is much better than Tom Boyd and he would provide a great contested marking target for them near goals. Unfortunately, he will continue to kick more points than goals.

Oh I don't know, the Dogs seemed to be able to kick enough behinds last night without Cloke's help.

My thoughts exactly, he will stink up their attractive forward line, and will just be an emergency insurance, for injuries. He will play out his career as a bit player, in the VFL. I wonder how old man Demir Cloke will handle that ?? :P

Those 4 "putrid" years include 3 over which he kicked 141 goals at an average of 2.4 goals per game. Lucky for us we have plenty of players on the list who do better than that most years. His 2016 season was extremely disappointing - but let's not kid ourselves about the ease with which the contribution he made at his peak will be replaced.

No. Boyd's coming on well for a young tall. Cloke is not likely to be a first choice player. He'll start as a backup for Redpath who's had a history of injuries. As the season goes on he and Crameri will probably battle for the same spot.

Yep, we crushed it at the draft that year; not...
One could argue Hine should be sacked on the back of this draft alone.
Tell ya what, St.Vomit must be close to blowing their brains out selecting Billings. Solid player, but no Bonte.

After last night I was struggling to see how Cloke would get into the Bulldogs team. Can't even see him getting a game in their reserves after today.
