That depends upon how seriously it is enforced. In Kenya, they have been supporting their COVID curfew with the army shooting on sight. It isn't too popular but nearly everyone complies.

thing is, people just refuse to do the right thing. I went nuts in the supermarket the other day, 3 seperate people pushed past me while i was at the checkout, as i pointed out to security they are no checking in! and certainly not social distancing! 1 with no mask!

3 car loads pulled up at the tiny hidden park around the corner from me, and my BFF has a small acting gig on monday, how the **** is that an essential service!

Problem is, we did the right thing but Dan hasn't held up his end of the bargain by establishing proper quarantine procedures and border controls so were back in this mess due to their incompetence.

Positive case detected in Shepparton. There has have been COVID detections in wastewater in Shepp over the past week, so probably only a matter of time until a positive case.

Also, people sneaking into the regions from Melbourne increased the chances of it getting out.

Wouldn't it be more likely a person from NSW?

It could be but there have been no cases in NSW regions close to the border in that area eg. Moama, Barooga, Toc.

The case in Shepp is a teacher at St Mels a primary school in Shepp.

Problem is the current lockdown just isn't sustainable. People won't keep doing it.

Yep. Compliance is starting to wane and people have grown tired of all the restrictions with no end in sight.

Yesterday, Lifeline received a record number of calls in a single day (approximately 3,500). The rise in mental health problems will become the new pandemic sadly.

Even if you miraculously bring the numbers down and are able to re-open, we’ll just shut down again in a week or two anyway. That’s why people have almost have a sense of defeatism with these lockdowns.

Australians have been conditioned to zero-covid, but I think once we reach the vaccination targets, we need to open and stay open without any threat to locking down again.

Anyway, now we have 7 cases up in Shep. All one family but more than 1 house.

Not sure what the recent situation has been there, but keep in mind that death rates tend to lag case number rises by a month or more.
