Great move by Buckley sending him to defence.

With him and Williams we now have two quality small defenders prepared to put there head over the ball as well as take the game on with run and carry.

Played a great game tonight. Looks like he may turn out to be very good for us down there for years to come.

Please only make comments about the game in the "all comments here" thread. do not talk about the game in an independent thread. the danger is that we might actually be able to start a sensible debate about a particular topic, and that is an unacceptable use of a topic based chat site.

Top effort from Sinkers, looked more composed under pressure than I have ever seen him and seemed to read the ball better. Huge bonus if he can have a good year, given the absence of Heater and Marley.

Great performance by Sinkers tonight and nice to see him score a goal albeit in strange circumstances nevertheless.

He pressured well, took the game on and his disposal was generally good even though it can be a tad questionable at times. Overall I was impressed with his performance.

I'll miss whipping his ass, he earned my respect tonight.

Sinclair is the goods and I've thought so since last year.

Down back his tenacity, sure handling (yep he doesn't fumble much if at all despite the unskilled stereotype) and speed has been great for us.

Even his disposal is good, it's just that his decision making lets him down at times. He dishes off to a teammate in a poor position or under pressure too often which causes turnovers (all players do turn it over on occasion to be fair)and leads to the perception that he can't kick.

Get that flaw out of his game, which is a mental thing and easily remedied with more experience and we'll have a long term, dependable backman. Our new Ben Johnson if we're lucky.

If he gets the handful of shocking decisions he makes every week out of his game he will be a gem.

It amazes me how he never, ever drops he head or indeed his attack at the contest; a real terrier

how about some credit for Dwyer too who has exactly the same attitude? there were a number of 50/50s tonight that went our way because both of these guys just refuse to back down, EVER!

Great point E.

This willingness to go harder than your opponent is what makes Hawks and Freo so imposing.

If only a few more of our blokes did it as consistently as sinkers and sammy, we'd be well on the way to september glory.

The guy has a big ticker and is quick. He can frustrate with his disposal (but I remember many saying the same over Benny Johnson and Tooves)

Starting to look very good down back. Running out games better and becoming cooler with confidence. One of the toughest and most willing players on our list. I don't see any major problem with his kicking, he mostly hits his targets. Not as mistake ridden as Heater, Toovey (at certain stages) or even Young.
