I had a 2nd look at the game the other night...

Oxley was beyond putrid. "Resting him" won't get rid of the stench.
Kennedy's disposal was as bad as I first thought too.
These errors critically impacted against us on the scoreboard, just prior to half time, and then three-quarter time. Substantial 2-goal turnarounds.
Which really is a shame, because he does actually bust his arse to win the football for us, only to slaughter it. I can't fault his endeavour, simply the execution.
And it is Buckley I hold SOLELY responsible for this players lack of improvement in this area.
Fasolo just didn't deliver, yet his opponent wore him well.
Tackling efforts were great, but still needs to find more pill.
And Blair, well it should have been plainly obvious that the game has simply passed him by.

And that Jake Stringer is a freak of a footballer too.
Please tell me we didn't pass him over in a previous draft?

I reckon the best BK can hope for is we demote him to the rookie list, but that might be tricky if we rookie the junkies, If not I think we'll look to trading him, I'd be flabbergasted if he was on our senior list next year.

Mr Hine's draft pick reputation is taking a hit it seems!

Not opposed to this. I don't rate him.

Would we get a 2nd round pick for him?

If Freeman goes, and we get zero for BK, then the Dale Thomas, Dawes, Wellingham trades are starting to count for nothing. We need to get at least ONE GUN packaged out of the departing NF and BK if true.

Thomas trade= Scharenberg
Dawes trade = Broomhead and partially Ramsay pick
Wellingham trade = Grundy

(are all tracking ok)

Kennedy may be worked into a Jeremy Howe trade (may be a win/win)
Freeman: reckon we should push for 2nd rd this year and 2nd rd next year

Again time shall tell!

If we're going to trade out Kennedy and lose Freeman we need to go after Aish surely even with Treloar coming IMO.

It makes sense that Kennedy would be looking for greater opportunity elsewhere so no hard feelings if he wants to explore his options.

Might be part of the deal for Howe.

He was pick 19 in a mini draft compromised year, in that draft Hine plucked Grundy at pick 18 and Broomhead at 20, how is Hine taking a hit?

Yeah we seem to have done well out of those, really, mid second round picks. I've been waiting to hear about a Kennedy move. Would have been surprised if he stayed after a disappointing season.

Freeman, Kennedy .... etc

It does smell a bit like creating currency for another deal or recruiting a Howe /Watts (yes I know).

There is no etc though. One player has left due to injuries another really hasn't been good enough. Strike rate is looking good. I've mentioned this stat a bit, but the Hawks were only successful with 4/8 top 10 picks when building.
