Now that NSW has ticked off 6 million vaccinations, she's apparently announcing later this week the first of the restrictions to ease for fully vaccinated people.

How that will work in practice will be interesting, my understanding was that you couldn't compel someone to reveal their vaccination status.

So for arguments sake, say they make it OK for vaccinated people to go to pubs. The pub then has to police a "no proof, no enter" policy. I'd be happy to show my digital certificate to get entry, I suppose for someone who either isn't vaccinated or doesn't want to provide proof, the pub isn't forcing them to reveal anything, just saying if they don't want to that's fine, but they can't come in unless they do?

f the large supermarket chains, shopping centres and pubs and clubs enforced and demanded vaccination certificates first they would have to enforce it on their staff and service and goods suppliers.

That said threatening to do it would get a lot of people suddenly deciding to get vaxxed.

It is probably a stretch to ban people from all Government buildings as that would include police stations, law courts and hospitals but it makes sense that all police, fire services and ambos are done. No want jab no want job.

Might have to start calling you Dan after that post and 3 days later, positive cases in Geelong region.

Wouldn't it be the same as asking for ID to enter?

If there's lockdowns at 80% vaccination, I don't think people will comply.

It's time to come up with a plan to open up and stay open.

Doesn't the modelling from the Doherty Institute assume the number of people hospitalised will be manageable?

Andrews is seriously ego driven. He hated the comparisons to NSW in 2020, and took every opportunity to slap them in the current outbreak, until things went bad here.

Now he's hedging his bets. Trying his hardest (which equates to lock everything up and wait) to get back to Covid zero but realising that if it doesn't work and NSW opens up successfully while Victoria is still locked down..............

Dan will be pushing for a vaccination blitz like NSW, he already is, as his plan B

^ Gotta give credit to Gladys. She alone has driven the spike in vaccinations. Her strategy of opening up has incentivised people to get the jab.

Ban the unvaccinated from hospitals. They can ride it out at home since "it's just a flu".

In Victoria, 45 cases reported. 36 linked to known cases and 17 in isolation throughout their infectious period.

And the fact that those that are dying in the current outbreak are mostly the unvaccinated. Evidence that vaccination works.

Interesting that the latest Qantas ad has triggered a bigger response from people than any of the advertising by any level of government. All the govt ads have been pretty lame.
