Spot On - He would of Been BOG if we won.
Most Youngsters have Shockers from time to time

Adams is a gem and will be a powerful midfield weapon for us for the next 8 years. I've watched the game again and despite a few errant disposals - usually because he's so hemmed in and under siege - his courageous and fearless attack on the ball and opposition players has made me re-access his performance. He was BOG.
Still behind Cloke and Pendles for mine.

Problem is we only have 2 classy mids at present and one wasn't playing.
What is wrong with Swanny?
His disposal is as bad as Taylor's, ie: when he gets it.

He must be Dave, just not the same player. Doesn't sprint like he usually does and goes missing. His kicking although always been indifferent but effective is atrocious this year. They just hang in the air.
Hope it isn't old age catching up, we really need him to come good.

Ahh if correct both would effect his kicking, especially penetration.

I see Adams as being a long term investment, he may have some issues now but give him some time and I think he will develop into a much better player.
I mean it wasn't that long ago that people saw Ben Reid play a few games and called him shit, waste of a draft pick and should be delisted... Now look.
So I agree he can become a very good player with time, patience please.

So its official. It doesn't matter how well we manage our list, how good we are at recruiting and how many quality players we get down to the club, we will always find someone to hate on our list.
In our desperation to hate someone, ANYONE, at the club, this year it seems we incredible bright and gifted fans have decided to heap it on Taylor Adams. Yep, a young kid, who comes with huge wraps and is likely to be our starting in and under player for years to come (let's see for example, how he is travelling in two year's time) who I am 100% convinced we are all going to adore for his courage and commitment to the ball.
it begars belief my friends!
out!

I concur, and have stuck up for Adams on the other thread (no doubt this one will join it ). The only Pies players I have never taken too, when they played, was tex walker, chris perry, Patterson, guy Richards, wild, and one or two other guys who got many games in the early year of the Malthousian era. Taylor Adams is far and away, better than those types.

We had a problem under MM that players would play for 1 week then get dropped for 4 weeks then play 1 or 2 and get dropped again until next season.
Players need to play for 3 or 4 weeks consistantly to get used to the pace and also the skill level required.
Coming from GWS and playing infront of the crowds we get on the biggest stages... is bound to takes its toll.
He needs games and he needs time.
He will be great and people will eat their words.

The vitriol directed at this kid after he played his best game ever, collecting 30 possessions including 21 contested (almost unheard of) has been nothing short of disgusting.
I realise that after losing a game against a lowly side like the bulldogs some fans want to find individuals to blame, but some of the commentary on Adams has been rather pathetic.
Most commentators ranked him in our top 3 players and were full of praise for him, yet many of my fellow nicksters could find nothing but scorn to direct his way. Come on guys, lift your game.
