Schwab was just on Trade radio saying that the Brions aren't budging in their offer.

You mean it ain't true.

Damn it.

I wanted an Aish for an H
Adelaide spinning it was about a contract extension. Obviously we were pushing for him and they got spooked, and are trying to lock him down to avoid him doing a Beams on them.

Beamer needs to earn back some respect now, play his heart out in 2015 and hopefully sign back on. If not, nice knowing ya.

We're not at war with anyone.

He's contracted to us. They wanted to buy his contract, but have simply not been prepared to pay the price. End of story. He's still a Collingwood player.

The media and the lions need to be reminded that Collingwood does not want to trade Beams, so would only do so begrudgingly on our terms. Buck's preference is to keep Beams, and I reckon that's what we'll do.

How would Beams feel now that Brisbane haven't done what is necessary to get him? Teased him with a huge offer then couldn't follow through, meanwhile he burns bridges like it's a fait accompli. Hope Sidey, Dasher and Heath are giving him heaps.

Would not be the first player to request a trade, have it fall through and recommit to the team.

If he retires now, can he enter the 2015 draft as an uncontracted player or does he have to wait until 2016 when his contract has expired?

Even if he takes that route, he would need to be very careful about draft tampering. He wouldn't want the Suns or another desperate club to have a pick before Brisvegas.

Ahh Beams, what will you do now?

Will you swallow your bitter pill and take the scrutiny that'll
come your way in the change room?

Play with dignity and respect for your team mates or carryover
we're Heater left off?

Just remember pal who's got ya back.

The Lions reckon they've "worked very hard" to get a deal done and that 5 + 25 is the best they can offer. Well that means they don't really want Beams, as you could not offer a worse deal without being laughed out of the room. They've offered the absolute minimum and given that Beams is still contracted there is no way we should accept and we should stick to the deadline, no more talks with the Lions.

Time for Beams to start thinking about whether there's any other club he'd like to be, the Lions just aren't that into him.

Five o,clock and alls well!!
