Bit of perspective on Burnsy people.
He is our leader...we will miss him terribly.
But he spends a lot of time off the ground and is not one of our highest possession winners. I think his numbers are well down this year. Plus we won games without him earlier in the year.
We will lose leadership and toughness at the ball no doubt. However, you would say purely based on stats that Didak was a bigger loss given the fact that he was in AA form and was winning a stack of the ball and kicking goals.
We will miss Burnsy...he is irreplaceable. But its not the end. When we have broken sides apart, he has played mere cameo roles. The keys to the side have been Swan, Davis, Didak, Medhurst, Cloke, Thomas and Pendlebury.
We are going to miss the cameo Burns at the bottom of the pack doing something inspirational....but his effect on games is more as an impact player than as one of our best players.
The point is that as a group, we can fill the void. It will take 22 players willing to take responsibility....but it ultimately does not throw our structure out as much as when Rocca got injured.
Stanley now gets his chance...Thomas will return soon as will Rhyce Shaw. Depth is a wonderful thing.

There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

Devastating.
I have a feeling that we will play with as much guts and determination as ever, but when you start losing your best players it makes it that much more difficult. Go Pies
