If De Goey is an elite kick then I could live with him. Gone off Wright if he is soft and cant mark in a contesrt. Laverde I am fine with but better not flash in and out of games

De Goey also a teammate of Darcy Moore. And if we got Dan Mackenzie at 30, we'd have three Chargers from the premiership team.

If we go for De Goey, he'd better be quick and an excellent kick.

As I've stated previously Hine would have seen a lot of De Goey while watching the progress of Moore in much the same way he would have seen Pendlebury playing alongside Thomas back in 2005.

If he liked what he saw he would have seen a lot of it so you can only back his judgement and given the perceived even nature of this draft I dare say Moore and his positive opinion of his teammate might have been enough to tip the selection in his favour.

Now if we only take D. Mckenzie at 30 my left field suggestion that we might end up taking Oakleigh Charger players with our first four selections (McLean 48) is still a possibility.

LOL.

Rated as a Elite Kick and Descion Maker. I would not call him Quick but I would not call him Slow

Lavedre - "tall, goal kicking midfielder" sounds good to me. He has the look of a taller, faster Dayne whatsisname.

Laverde is 189 cms, while De Goey is 187 cms. In a nutshell, they are both tall, goal kicking midfielders.

This is who I think we could pick at 5 and how I rate them. Would not complain about any of them:

1:Jarrad Pickett
2:Peter Wright
3:Jayden Laverde
4:Jordan De Goey
5:Kyle Langford
6:Paul Ahern

To me Laverde has silk/class, whereas De Goey is a hard grafter/never gives up.

Love the look of both of them

As to which one fits the bill for us the best, I'm sticking with Laverde - will be a fascinating draft - can't wait.

I'm comfortable with De Goey.

More interested in who we'll end up with at 30 and 48.

I'll be satisfied with De Goey but my heart is now set on Laverde.

I'm now starting to think Lever may be a bargain that we could regret not picking up. FFS, this is worse than trade week! Wish it was 7 o'clock already.
