Thought I'd return to the list on page 1 and recap where all of these players are at now the season is over:

• Tyler Brown has been delisted, and Paul Seedsman, Jonathon Ceglar and Max Lynch have all retired.
• Lachie Keeffe is out of contract from what I've heard and probably most likely to call it a day, but he did well to break back into the side in the back end of the season and played all three finals for the Giants. Strange to think he potentially came 1 point away from being a premiership player.
• We all know about Brodie Grundy's dramas. I'm not following the trade week gossip closely, but it seems set in stone that he's off to Sydney.
• James Aish, Oliver Henry, Jaidyn Stephenson, Adam Treloar and Jarrod Witts all seem to have had decent seasons and are pretty well-entrenched in their respective clubs' first 22s. Witts presumably has at least one more year in him (he's contracted until the end of 2024, and has only just turned 31).
• Mark Keane and Caleb Poulter are two players who really seem to have found their feet at AFL level for the first time in 2023. Keane in particular took his chance in defence late in the season and seems to have impressed at Adelaide.

I read somewhere that Treloar.might be Gold Coast Sun's bound. His wife might still be playing netball on Qld.

His manager categorically denied that not so long ago. Dog for the rest of his career, he said.

Speaking of injured former players, I saw that Mark Keane got concussed by Sam Powell-Pepper in the practice match last week. Hope he's doing okay!

Mark Keane (Ade.) "is on track to be available for Round One ... as he recovers from concussion".

Powell-Pepper copped 4 weeks for his head-high bump.
