^they had 5 goalkickers. He kicked 50% of their score on the way to a 35-point defeat. I think they thought it was 1994 and Larkey was Carey.

Jiath is in! Replacing Bytel, according to this article:

https://www.afl.com.au/news/1150420/and ... r-debutant

Markov still faces a fitness test apparently.

It's exciting to see another young player debut for us. Obviously, he is currently as skinny as all phuck, but his evasive skills and ability to read the play seem to be first class. If he can get a taste of senior footy this year, then spend the pre-season in the weights room, he could be a regular senior player next year. Fwiw, I reckon he'll do well on Sunday. Congrats TJ.

Don't want to temper any thoughts but we are playing at Marvel which is similarly sized and congested to a few of the VFL grounds we've played on this year. Looking forward to some dash and smooth moves from TJ in traffic

Been one of the most exciting aspects of the whole season to date Rude. How great is it seeing so many debutants in one year. And from a reigning Premier. Yes, we’ve had no choice due to injury, but it beckons well for the future. Established players will return, but these young boys should and will be thinking: ‘I’m in, now you gotta get me out’. I love it!

From adversity comes opportunity
This makes 6 debutants this season which is great and disturbing at the same time
A couple north players talking up how we are gettable
We can’t take anyone lightly. We are missing 9 from our GF side last year plus McStay and Adam’s so half of what would have been our best 22 for last years GF bar injury
Best thing is we win on Sunday and we go to 3rd and then play the bombers in a couple week which could cement us a top 4 place with players coming back for the last part of the season
Talented players who will be fresh as for another assault
Then we also know we have waiting in the wings Harrison Richard’s Sullivan McRae who we know can all play roles as required
We need to win this margin doesn’t matter just the 4 points do
I’m smelling a Collingwood awakening with the youngsters starting to feel more comfortable

I'm a little confused. Fly said that Markov hurt his back in training and so TJ was selected. However, Markov is still listed on the interchange bench. I guess we'll know for sure come Sunday, but maybe Markov is still a chance to play.

Yeah Markov still faces a fitness test, but he'll play if he passes it and has been selected accordingly. In the meantime, Jiath has come in for Bytel. So one of Allan, McInnes or Bytel will come back in to the 23 if Markov has to pull out.

So many "injuries" to try and keep track of, I guess the club got a little confused.

Jiath is the only player I liked the look of in the VFL that i have watched this year.
He is awfully light and skinny.
Has talent but i hope it is not too early to play him.
Personally I would have waited to debut him next year.
