It’s the go home factor… Geelong is a bloody long way from Melbourne.

I think he couldn't crack the 22 because he didn't want to commit to the club so they thought why put further development into a player going to a rival club.

They should have played him in the VFL ruck the entire season… with no rotations!

He will give our midfield a huge class boost in preparation for the saddest footy day we will experience for a long while when Pendles hangs them up.

Be proactive, Pies- turn Henry into Whitfield...
The Lad's logic is solid, however... there is the problem of his inflated GWS contract, if reports of it being up around $1M per annum are correct?

All we would be doing is offloading one $1M player in Grundy for another slightly younger one?
And it would certainly improve the list, no question.
But would we not still again be on the cusp of salary cap problems again?

Nick Daicos won't be playing for the token 2 year $100K p/a in 2024, and that we can take to the bank!

Brisbane sending pick 25 to Geelong in return for picks 38, 48, 55, a future second rounder and a future fourth.

Hmmm....

I logged in to post the same thing.

Seems like they have squeezed a compromise between pick 38 and our request for a first rounder.
