I thought Adams was amongst our best yesterday too.
can be a capable kick. Just needs to settle down and I am confident that will happen.
Is manic and we need more guys like that.

He'll be a fine player for us especially when he feels established in the team. I've seen him exhibit good foot skills and feel that a lot of his stuffed up kicks are due to nerves and trying too hard not to stuff up as he feels his spot is always on the line. When he's not worrying about that his kicking will improve.
The grunt midfield role is his now for mine. He offers us more than Luke Ball now, all due respect to Luke.
Ball will most likely retire at Seasons end.
Lost a Step and keeps getting Injured lately
May or may not DTM. Still only 30 but has 220 odd games to his name and when you play like Luke Ball that one hell of a beating he's put his body through.

He genuinely "wants" the pill whenever he's near it. More than most.
More composure getting rid of it will see his status grow.

At his best in his best position in the midfield. In fact he was clearly our best in & under player around the stoppages.
The sad reality of rotations is that everyone will get time out of the midfield. Midfielders now need to learn how they can impact even when not in the midfield and that is all part of his development.
It didn't have anything to do with Rotations Jackass.
Every man & his dog had gone down injured in our backline & we pretty much had to try somebody else there. Adams got the gig & did as well as can be expected. Some treated him harshly I thought, seeing he had never played there before.
The midfield is where we will see him at his best.

Is no one worried about his kicking? i think if the guy could learn to kick even AT league average he will be an elite midfielder for many years to come. UNtil then, it will hurt us at times.

I think his general field kicking has improved as he's gained a bit more confidence about his place in the team. Still scope for further improvement but don't see it as a major issue.

Well I hope he plays at least one more season........
And then Adams may be ready to take over the role.

Kid is going to be a gun.

Adams = Gun...Agreed - brilliant swap for the longer term - and I had Heater as one of my favs at the Pies! Heater will be 30 next year - Adams is 21 and already looks like he is getting used to the pace of senior footy.

Not sure he's a gun (gun for me means Pendles/Swan) but certainly good enough to be a Luke Ball MkII - and if that means 200-plus games, that'll do just fine. It was a good deal, agreed.

I was pilloried from pillar to post when I said mid season that Adams was a future gun player and had already shot past the aging Luke Ball to become our preferred in and under midfield specialist. This kid thrives on pressure. He is absolutely Taylor made for us!

A lot sooner than that. Some very, very red faces around about now. Read the first few pages of this thread - wow! How wrong were the nasty knockers? Won't stop them being wrong again about someone else next week though. Best thing to do is flip back to the first pages of this thread and enjoy in whatever way you prefer. Me, I think I'll just laugh and point.

Taylor was awesome for us, that spoil in the last quarter shows how hard he is at the footy. People in this thread that knocked him and said he would be no good have no knowledge of football and all they do is talk sh*t. He will get better every week he trains and plays.

Yep, he is getting better no doubt but gotta get his kicking efficiency above 70% consistently, above 80% he'll win a Brownlow.
