Dawes played quite well. Not brilliant, but a very solid contributor. At 3/4 time he was clearly revving up teammates, especially the young ones. Showed leadership.
Daisy did little and when he finally took a mark with a minute to go and the game lost, he was booed.

Neil Appleby wrote:If Carlton was a club with patience and the ability to admit it needs to rebuild from the ground up, it would re-sign Mick this week and give him the job of recreating the list; much in the way Collingwood did. But will it? Carlton is not noted for persevering with losers :D :D :D
This week will tell us a lot about the filth we know as the Blooz.
Meanwhile, Dollar Daisy was just named Worst on Ground on MMM.

Could the weekend get any better? 8)
Going by whats on the scum blog at bigfooty, and radio, the blues fans would burn down Princes park if they resign the old man. As one of their fans said " hes a dinosaur, way past it, Collingwood got rid of him for a reason ". That says it all I reckon. :!:

If the old fart had any nous hed realise hes out of his depth now, too antiquated, should never have gone there, but hes so stubborn they will have to sack the old mongrel, and the whole Board with him.

Well, yes - of course? How could you even ask? It's better than having the usual 147 "Sack Buckley" threads.

Yep, and Dollar Daisy has Mick right next to him too, reading him cute little bedtime stories about blue meanines and big bad magpies.

All part of MM's master plan.

First get a contract for 3 years based on getting the list to take the next step to premiership glory.

Next step, soften up the board by saying that after 1 year, the list was not as good as what the board believed.

Follow up with poor performances showing that the list needs a total overhaul due to poor recruiting over the past decade.

Finally put forward your credentials as best placed to undertake the rebuild. All that will be required is a contract extension to your existing contract.

End result MM gets re signed until the end of 2018.
