For some reason, I've pulled out a couple of MCR (my chemical romance) CD's to play in the car.

I wish I had given them more of a run while the band was still together.

Sitting at the kitchen table, trying to eat breakfast - Child A is listening to Faure's Requiem on her laptop and Child B is playing his guitar along with a Testament number belting out of his laptop. They are sitting together, happily singing Led Zeppelin songs - at the very same time - over the top of their respective nonsenses, with their sound-sources about 3 feet apart.

How can you listen to Faure's Requiem on a laptop. Sacrilege. Kids these days need to learn about Hi Fi not just Wi Fi.

"Love Song" from Spring by Tony Williams (Blue Note 65138).

Right season, Adam Treloar's jumper on the cover and Wayne Shorter, Sam Rivers, Herbie Hancock and Gary Peacock helping out. And to think this was made just between floggings of Geelong (at Victoria Park) and the Blooz (at Princes Park) in the middle of a string of 11 wins in a row and before the 'Aints had ever beaten Collingwood in a final.

Those were the days.

Just finished listening to Basket of Light and now Let It Bleed is thumping out. Love in Vain just finishing, Country Honk up next.

Actually, now it's Live Me With Me - Bobby's first (and, perhaps, greatest) solo with the Stones and for those who enjoy these things the magical duelling pianos of Leon and Nicky.
