Stand firm wrighty. Don’t be dictated too. There’s more than one way to skin a cat and sending that mummies boy to the ND is one of those ways.
I call bs on that ch7 report and feel it’s just a last minute attempt to make GW bend over with the offer. Get f****d I would rather see him sweat bullets on draft night and then sent packing to west Australia.

Pick 25 and 33 is the bare minimum I'd accept.

I'm deadly serious when I say I'd fully support the club simply redrafting him at 16 if he walks and we show other clubs, current or prospective players that if you want to try and strong arm this new look Collingwood don't be surprised if we bite back.

Well well. If reports are true about the kid fronting up to the coach and telling him he doesn’t want to come back than he can go to the draft. North have already declared their interest and the Eagles are also after a forward.

Will have to bring a knife and fork to the game where he plays against us because the boos will be delicious.

Would not accept 25 and 33.
Prefer redrafting him at pick 16.
Collingwood won't bend to blackmail.

Send him to GWS or WA for nothing

Henry will nominate his terms of contract and go into the draft (like Luke Ball), let's say 4 years @350k.

Cats will pick local kid at 7.

Pies with their first pick at 16......Oliver Henry!
Welcome back to the Pies Oli for 4 years!

Renegotiate trade with Cats next year with a contracted player. Take that Pussies!

*won't happen but would be good viewing just to see the meltdowns
That didn't make sense.

That should have said DON'T send him to the Cats for the 2 picks.

Dodoro will not pass on Henry in the PSD.

If he gets by North, WCE and GWS, then Essendon it is.

Let him walk. Redraft if still available

Can he enter the national draft, or is it PSD only?

picks 25 & 33 , equivalent to pick 11 in points, unfortunately the only viable outcome.

:(

I believe delisted players can nominate themselves, but i think that all clubs choose to pick a young talent thats fresh and wait till PSD to pick up list cloggers

This is a question I would also like to know.

If it’s a PSD only then a number of clubs will take the punt on him.

If it’s ok for National draft, the Cats will select him with pick 25. No other club will use a top 25 pick on him. Hope the Pies recruiting team remembers this the next time Geelong wants to do a deal. You might have won the fight this time Geelong, but you won’t win the war!

We currently hold 16, 27, 41, 50, 51. Lets say we take 25 and 33.

Is there a player out there we can trade 25 and 27 for? Are those GWS players still up for grabs? Or does a club in search of points for father-sons look to downgrade a pick? (Essendon have pick 21, Lions pick 22).

There is currently 2 list spots to fill. Also 1 Rookie and 1 Cat B spot to fill. With news to come on Madgen, Henry, Poulter.

I believe we need to make 3 selections in the ND. So that means at least one more trade/delisting? And we're also looking like trading in Mitchell. Does 41 get Mitchell over the line? If not then the pick 33 comes in handy. But I'd really like to get Mitchell done first.

If Tom comes in and Oli goes out and we're left with 16, 25, 27, 33, 50, 51... I believe that Madge will be delisted, Poulter will re-sign, and we'll look to move/upgrade some of the picks.

Just feels like we've got to do something to offset the bad taste that will be left by Henry and Grundy leaving.

I wonder if Poulter will be part of a transaction ?
Are we better getting something than nothing if we let Henry out for nada? My visceral reaction is he can go f*ck himself but that hurts our own interests too.
