Thanks Member, I really do appreciate your support.

I really do sympathise with Perth magpies situation. Just like everything in life, the bad apples spoil the good, or in this case, make it hard for those really in need to get help.

And I certainly wasn't looking for the sympathy vote, I don't need it, I get myself through it in the gym. That line was just to show the reality of what it's like to live through it, that the subject, the memories can still bring you to tears long after you are safe. I'm a sensitive, but very strong person. And I wear my heart on my sleeve. I won't apologise for that.

My point was simply that I don't equate what was said with DV. I disagreed with someone else about it, and we managed to get through it and agree to disagree without a single harsh word!

Cheers

Another take that I'm inclined to agree with (parts of it):

What? like this point......

"because he holds an opinion that counter to your life experience, which by all accounts would seem counter to his"

Are you actually serious?

A white knight without a cause....

Insulting comments, thanks for making me cry.....

My mother is also in the ground, her path more direct....would you like me to tell you why smartarse?

I have seen both sides of the argument first hand and i am in no way unsympathetic to think positves circumstance and history, none of which i took issue with.....

Poor form was to insinuate that perth magpie both insulted and made her cry for having an opinion on his circumstance and experience.....

You getting it YET??

I can see that point of view.

But I also get Eddies, he feels he did nothing wrong, and I personally agree with him. It's not right or wrong, it's just my opinion, and it's hard to apologise because you are made too, when you really don't think you were wrong.

I'm having a hard time swallowing her act, especially after watching last nights show, Shaw and co said exactly the same thing, I don't care if there was warmth in his eyes, he said the same thing, and she took no offence whatsoever. She saw a chance to get back at an enemy and took it. She has said some bloody awful things about Eddie, and I've never heard her apologise. There is a reason she is so hated by so many footy fans, and it's not because of her gender.

I do agree he needs to shut up at times. I don't find him offensive, but I'm pretty broad minded. While he represents the club, I wish he would tone it down, but really I'm only pandering to the PC brigade, and I don't particularly like that attitude in me. Eddie idoesnt strike me as a vicious person. He's as down to earth Bogan as any Toorak cowboy can be! And well we all know how the bogan thing goes across!

He's apologised, let it be. How about get some good out of it and raise some money for the cause?

Let me put it this way, he verys damn sorry he said it! As for the why, well.....

He did add something like if it was or could be construed

But shit mate, I'm a woman, I can twist anything! And by a few posts here, so can guys!

I'll also add, I don't think he should have had to apologise, and when I got the emails from the club I shot it straight back with that message on it!

Maybe he could get the people at 60 minutes in to make this go away?

I actually think it's a shame that Eddie continues to even be involved in these blokey dumb arsed radio shows. Sure, he gets paid a packet, but at some point you'd think he'd realise he has enough money and would choose to spend his time more fruitfully. These shows with drongos like Darcy and Frawley actually demean Eddie himself by bringing him down to the level of gutter humor. He is better than that, but sadly, I'm not sure Eddie realises it himself.

So it would have been better if Ed had have been drunk and threatened Caro in a restaurant with chopsticks and then punch the wall next to her head, and then use his journo mates to play it down, throw mud on Caro and get away with a bogus suspended fine.

Ed is from Broady, would more likely been a spork he threatened her with and it would have been a roundhouse kick to the wall (less than waist height)

Eddie has lived in Toorak longer than he ever did in Broadmeadows.
