Would love the club to notify his manager that their intention is to draft him with their first pick in either draft that he enters.

The ball is then in his and Geelongs court.

for

6, 48, Mitchell

Pick 6 welcome to Collingwood Jyhe Clark.

Trumping Geelong for Clark (assuming Hine rates him worthy of 6) would make this whole affair worthwhile.

Failing that if Hawthorn wont deal Mitchell for something other than 27 and/or we won't reconsider trading for Fiorini if Henry gets traded/walks out would we turn our attention to Cooper Stephens and 25 for Henry?

Another option?

27, 41, 50 for 24, Mitchell (we take on all his salary)

We redraft Henry at 24 and watch Mackie slump in his chair. Again, that would make this whole affair worthwhile.
I demand Swoop take over list management. Genius.
Just another way to skin a cat. Let’s make it a priority to f*** them straight up the freckle.

Not a chance we get 6 in this scenario.

Pick 7 for Henry and 16 or PSD.
And draft the kid they're looking at?

Why don't we involve Port? They want big Sav from Geelong.

Collingwood give Geelong: Henry

Geelong give Port: Sav

Collingwood give Port: Pick 16

Port give Collingwood: Pick 8

Maybe Geelong throws in that pick 38 to Collingwood.

We lose Henry and Pick 16 but get pick 8. Same as the deal we wanted from Geelong. Geelong get to keep there pick we get our upgraded first rounder.

I like the thinking but requires Port to go from 8 down to 16 to get Esava. That's about a 500 point drop and equivalent to pick ~37. Technically better than giving up pick 33 which they have now, but I suspect they would like to remain inside the top 10 for the draft.

Otherwise - make it happen!

So Port are giving 8 for Sav and 16
We give Henry and 16 for 8
Cats give Rat and get Henry

That works although Port don't have pick 8 as they gave it to the Eagles :P

The morning paper is suggesting that no other club would grab Henry because of 'homesickness' issues, so if he goes into either draft, he would still get through to Geelong.

There must be more to this than meets the eye. At the end of the season, we did not want top play Henry any more, there was even a week where Mihocek was out injured, and Henry was not even brought in to replace him.
