Actually what it MAY show is that he's someone who doesn't react well to booze. He's only 21, he has time to figure that out, some people take a long time to discover that they can't drink and behave.

Dave m8 some people are slow learners, I fully agree he needs to pull his head in but negative comments and outright censure have never been the best inducements to correct behaviour.
Positive reinforcement and instructive inducements are generally MUCH more productive.
In short teach, don't lecture and encourage not disparage are generally the best motivational stategies.

I am just saying what I think and I highly doubt anyone who works at the Club in the Footy Department would read Nicks.
Just Hope Balmey can help him out

No worries dave, we're all family here and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little perturbed by his lack of common sense on this issue but I have first hand experience in this type of situation.
I was a mad tearaway myself, a drunken stepdad meant I left home as soon as I was able to and got in with a pretty rough lot. Nothing illegal or hurtful to anyone but ourselves but pretty lowbrow looking back on it.
We always had sense enough to keep a low profile when the cops were in the offing and just plain disappeared when a brawl or something like that started but we were certainly no angel boys.
I think we are all agreed that young Taylor needs to pull his head in and certainly isn't at the moment a role model or leadership material. But people can turn themselves around - sometimes it takes life to kick you in the goolies like it did to me to make you see sense but most people end up getting educated in one way or another.

I agree. People always learn best through applying positive rewards etc after that however, nail him up. It's an outrage.
I imagine he will be hurting & hopefully the penny will drop. He is still a kid & I'm sure he is more disappointed in his own behaviour than we are.
Without wanting to be too cliche, let him turn a negative into a positive. If that's the worst thing he does I reckon he & we are doing OK as disappointing as it might be

Lamby's was always the nightclub that the older set went to (like 28-35). So maybe Tay likes to chase cougars.

Well, WPT, on that positive note, it seems to be the worst thing he's done this week (so far, that we know about, bearing in mind that it's still only Monday).

Sure, I'd prefer that our players wind down with a nice game of chess and a cup of tea, but if getting on the piss at a seedy Geelong nightclub is Taylor's bag then I'd prefer it happen in the offseason than any other time of the year.
If he fronts up for training and gives his all and is off the booze the rest of the year, then frankly I don't give a shit. He didn't crash a car, beat anyone up or find himself with a rape accusation so really "Collingwood Player gets drunk" is all they have to work with.
Sad that so called 'supporters' fall for this shit over and over again.
AFL.com.au are saying he was Kicked Out of the Club

Sounds like he was not meant to be in the nightclub in the first place owing to his previous conviction.
Most people don't go out till 11pm let alone be drunk enough to be issued with a fine by 11pm.
Needs to knuckle down and pull his head in for the rest of the season now.
Might want to consider giving up the grog as well.

I guess if drunk in public is the worst that he's going to do it's almost a good thing, at least all he's doing is hurting himself to a point. I think he should be told by the club to perhaps give up the booze, it seems it's brought him nothing but fines and trouble so far.
I'd be more disappointed if he drove home drunk, or was speeding or actually doing some more reckless. He's just gone and done what a lot of people his age do on a daily basis and they never make the news, however as he's an AFL player it's probably wise he doesn't overdo the alcohol.
He's still a kid though, and I guess as long as it's not during the season that he's getting off his face and doing stupid shit then it's not a major issue. I think the club will probably give him the harsh word or whatever.

This was Posted on BigFooty:
Hey guys sorry for the intrusion. I was talking to someone who knows Adams personally and he told me Adams was targeted by a bunch of bogan they all got kicked out Adams got pinched. No cut lunch were thrown.
It would probably be best if this kid kept away from Geelong at night to many hero heads wanting a shot at the title so to say.
