Where did Buckley get a dickheads policy?
Nicks - present company excluded of course.

I'd be more disappointed if he drove home drunk, or was speeding or actually doing some more reckless. He's just gone and done what a lot of people his age do on a daily basis and they never make the news, however as he's an AFL player it's probably wise he doesn't overdo the alcohol.

He's still a kid though, and I guess as long as it's not during the season that he's getting off his face and doing stupid shit then it's not a major issue. I think the club will probably give him the harsh word or whatever.
When you are a want to play AFL there are things you have to Give Up(A Normal Life).

I do hope the Club tells Adams he should/have to stay away from Alcohol as he just keeps getting into trouble

the word "Drunk" has changed over the last 20 years, you can get off-tap and ejected very early on with the RSA, some of us would be just getting warmed up!

Since the season hasn't begun he can still have his normal life if bogans, and the media leave him the hell alone. There's so much worse going on around the place and we're worried about a young man that dared to get drunk.

How pathetic.

I agree. Doubt there be any big punishments but the chance of making the Leadership Group this year went down the Toliet.

Also have to remember he plays for Collingwood and the Media loves any Bad Collingwood News

I did that years ago, and still no calls from the recruiting managers of Australia.

sigh

Maybe next year. I'm still young. Not even 60 yet.

Not really an issue, normal 21 year old behavior. Does have history though so might be time he started to learn from these life lessons. Probably get a nice little fine from the club and some extra punishment on the NZ trip.

I guess Tay wasn't mucking around when he said that he would be pissed if Buckley didn't give him more midfield responsibilities...

In other breaking news... someone, somewhere, not going to name names, got a parking ticket. Club is in crisis talks as we speak. More to be reported by the Hun as the week unfolds. Stay tuned.

The usual apologists are on here defending Taylor Adams. What would they say if it were a Carlton player?
I don't get why an elete sportsman needs to get drunk, anywhere, even at home. What sort of culture creates that?
What he did isn't a hanging offence. It could've been worse. There was no fight. No one got hurt. He wasn't arrested.
But what he did wasn't good for his name or the name of the club that he plays for.

Gees he went out with a few mates, had a few drinks on a long weekend, it was only 11pm, he didn't actually do anything wrong, cops could have been making an example of him, sounds like guys getting drunk and tearing the place up is a bit of a problem down Geelong,

If he does it during the season, or punches someone, or drives home, fair enough, castrate him, but 6 pages over an Australia day waltz with a cop! Cmon! Enough already!
