Let's hear you all !!!
We're off to the big dance - AGAIN !!
They kicked the first two goals. Got 11 points ahead. We then kicked 17 goals to 7. Outscored them by 55 points.
I followed the game on both the scoreboard chat (great call Dale) and the Northern Army live call (Greg and Ken). Between the steamed dim sims and the multiple "You must be joking, umpire!!!"s, it was also a great call. Well done and thanks, boys.
Now I'm about to watch the replay. Think I'll enjoy every second, especially the injection of Leon into the game in the second half.

A Bittersweet Victory...
Yeah, great game. We whalloped them and all that. Big deal.
Let's not get too excited or exuberant, because Anthony Rocca will without a doubt get rubbed out for at least 3 weeks.
I would think that Jarrod Molloy will replace Rocca in the Grannie.
It's good to have won, but let's not get too happy, because it's a bittersweet victory.

Buckley, Licuria, Johnson.
Leon played a great 4thQ, Lokan did a great job on Wanganeen, and Presti was rock-solid in defense. Tarrant was consistent.
Woey was electrifying in the first Quarter, but died down a bit.
MAGFAN8, believe me, I'm pleased as punch that Collingwood has made the Grand Final. But it's tempered by the fact that a player who can singlehandedly win a game of football, in Anthony Rocca, will miss out.

As MM said: The whole team.
Woey had a big first quarter with 10 possessions. Bux had a big second quarter with 8. Cole and Shaw played well in defence and Clokey took care of Tredrea.
Monty and Licca were there, as usual and Josh held his own in the ruck. Bux, Johnno and Taz each took 8 marks.
15 players had more than 10 possessions with Licca racking up the most with 27. Bux had 25.
Leon was injected in the second half, kicking a goal almost immediately and finished with 3. Taz also kicked 3 and had 16 possessions.

Let's continue the celebration tomorrow at Optus Oval.
A lot of the boys playing will now know there is a chance to play in back-to-back Grand Finals. Everyone will be itching to put in their best performance, and with the possibility of at least one change (here's hoping Ant gets off), there is bound to be some great performances.
I'd like to thank everyone that sat through my typos in the chat room, and am now sitting back and watching the last quarter. It looks as though the Pies eased off to save themselves for next week, and now have to wait to see who they will beat next week.
Hope to see a big crowd at Optus.

Well, I do have several Black, White & Teal caskets to prepare, plus I have a special Tombstone for Mark Williams, with a particularly nasty epitaph, to engrave.MAGFAN8 wrote:C'mon, Undertaker, crack a smile, mate.
