It seems the eagles want to know one way or the other:

Wirra would be perfect for us to bolster the backline...MM would be frothing at the mouth to get him...plus he is a beautiful deliverer of the ball from full back, which would free up players such as lonie, bux etc..who usually step in and take the kick outs...if we could get someone of his calibre then we would not have to rely on the short pass out of full back to move the ball after the other team has kicked a point....

Wirra....COME TO THE PIES MATE.......

Cheers

I would love for this guy to come to Collingwood. Imagine those torps coming out of the backline! He killed us when we played them earlier in the year.

apparently he and Phil Matera were given the ultimatum by the Ego's hierarchy. Wouldn't bother farting in Matera's direction (he's a grub like his older bro) but Wirrapunda does have the qualities others have mentioned on this thread.

Will be interesting to see who's bluffing who.

It would be good if we got him, but I reckon he will re-sign with the Eagles.

The money over here in WA is both are just unhappy with their offers. They aren't actually interested in going elsewhere but their manager is playing the game for more money and a longer contract. Both have been put on heavy "performance" contracts with a low base - almost like working on commission and the boys don't like it.

Wirrpunda would be a definate assett but Brown would be much better

It gets rather boring his antics every time when his contract is up. Obviously wanted a couple extra dolars ;)
