This reported in the Courier Mail:
It appears Brisbane may have to trade fullback Mal Michael or flexible key-position player Daniel Bradshaw next week to avoid a salary-cap crisis

Id rather play 1 man short than get that toss bag back.
Michael wont leave Brisbane afterall he didnt go up there for money or so he said at the time.........LMAO Michael just wants Brisbane to stroke his ego and tell him how good he is etc etc.

If they do off load players. Bradshaw and Beau McDonald would be favourites.
We need to go for Beau.

Nah I think Mal is a good bloke, would be epic to have him back. Not much chance of it but. If we do what's the bet they'll try him on the forward line???!!

How did you come to the conclusion that Mal is a good bloke ?? A good bloke wouldnt hold the club to ransom after the retirement of Gavin Brown.
What a joke it would be trading Scot Burns a Collingwood champion through and through and then recruiting an arrogant bastard like Michael.
Scotland is gone for sure but we better get something decent for him.

I'd chase Bradshaw, forget Michael, he's an ass, what player on the Carlton list would you teade Scotland for? I read in the paper, that he had "eyes on the Blues" or something like that.

Hate Mal with a passion, no way do i want him back but he wouldn't come anyway. One of my favourite moments of GF week was gettin his attention at the GF parade and then giving him the finger wit a big grin on my face.... the look on his face was priceless. hahahaha

Funny about that, a little blonde Canadian birdie told me he couldn't say no to the $1M over 3 years and that was the real reason he went.

maybe a stack of them think 'premierships are nice but show me the money" and think if i don't cash in now i never will. some of them are looking at solomon asking 400,000 and thinking 'shit!' hacks like that are getting big bucks and what am i getting? premiership medallions don't get you much in the real estate market these days. there are an awful lot of them still uncontracted
Reports from Brisbane suggest Michael could be the victim of the Lions' salary cap dilemma, after the club spent most of the past week unsuccessfully trying to secure deals for a host of uncontracted stars including Nigel Lappin, Luke Power, Martin Pike, Robert Copeland, Alastair Lynch, Craig McRae and Daniel Bradshaw.

In other words, Mal is a mercenary.
