Players being offered for trade
Collingwood enter the trade period today with Heath Scotland, Rupert Betheras, Mark McGough and Steven McKee all put on the trading blocks.
- I don't know how credible that is, as it is off Bigfooty. Will any of those players be enough to help us get Stevens?

Doubt it!!! Scotland would appear the best of that list consisting of 3 small/mediums and one tall/ruck.
Port's prime worry is their lack of depth in quality height forward and back (age taking it's toll on some) and in the ruck. McKee IS ruck however the rule changes have affected him similarly to their previous first ruck, Primus.
As for others, whilst they could be serviceable for Port, that club seems quite well stocked in that dept.
To acquire Stevens from Port, we would have to offer someone tall maybe along with Scotland.

According to Collingwood Joel, everyone is up for trade.
When comparing those selections, against a player of Stevens proven ability it would seem doubtful that, even in combinations, they would hold much value for Port.
Besides, I sure Port want very early picks in the draft. They screwed up in the past and found themselves with an ageing list. They will ty to rectify the balance with as many 1st round picks as possible.
Those picks belong to the shit clubs of the AFL. I feel, if we want Stevens, we will have to negotiate with them (Carl, Rich,WBD,Melb) in order to get what Port want - early picks not our players.

People under estimate the worth of our players. These players were good enough to get us to a grand final. Clubs like Melbourne may scoff at our young players but in reality we s*** all over their team and many others in terms of young talent.
Scotland is worth a second AND a third round draft pick
McKee is worth at least an average player or a second rd draft pick
McGough has 10 years of footy in him and would be high in value.

The Torres bounce is officially dead. You are walking alone now Fernando.

That is the dumbest thing I have heard lately. Now I'm NOT taking a swipe at you chalky, just the comment, coz I heard Neil Balme's being saying it to anyone that will listen. I'm sure Bucks, Burns, Licca, Tarrant, Rocca and the likes are up for trade! Yeah gimme a freakin break.chalky wrote:According to Collingwood Joel, everyone is up for trade.
And Scotland up for trade? I'd be dissappointed to see him go. He will be a great player for us in the future.
The 2 Macs are all but gone I reckon. McKee didn't fit in this year with ruck change or whatever other crap (someone say Pavlich? *ahem*) and as for McGough, well I think he may be resting on his laurels a bit for one good game he played last April.
