James Davies
This kid is 1 of those players i've never seen play a bad game. Ive probably seen 7-8 of VFL/AFL that he has played and believe me he's all class!!!!!!! Great skills both sides of the body, good size and is still young enough to be a 10 year player with the club.
Of the other options Read (Injury plagued), Marsh (Injuries/Age), Koulouriotis (has anyone actually seen him play).
My votes 4 James Davies in Black & White in 2004

James Davies is 21 and was the player the Bombers rigged the draft over to get him in 1999 (he was Captain of Xavier and said to be a great talent!). He is 191cm and plays midfield! Played 3 games in 2003, kicked 1 goal but did bugger all. Sheedy said this year he was a long term development player with huge potential and has now dumped him. The other one from the same draft (I think) was Jordan Bannister who was also 190cm, a fair bit lighter than Davies, and played 5 games this year and had a lot more touches than Davies, however not sure of any more details than that. I agree with you Rob8 - he would be a much better pickup than the older re-runs available, has good size and great potential.
The other one Essendon lost is Harveys younger brother - though he looks to me like a poor mans Gary Moorcroft and I don't think we need one of them.

Don't forget Moorcrofts mark of the year and day he picked up 40 possessions against St Kilda in 1998. Bit like Troy Wilsons highlight reel on Channel 10's "The Western Front". Two marks, another 12 almost screamers that were never taken and countless big hits on opponents who only had eyes for the ball. Nothing more than a battering ram. Twat should of been playing as a rugby forward not Aussie Rules.
Chuffed to have seen 3 flag wins in my lifetime but still greedy for more.

Oh yes, I remember the "warwick-capper-type-hands-on-opponents-back-boosting-himself-up-and-falling-to-earth-breaking-his-hip" mark of the year. Only a moron umpire would pay that as legal. Only morons would think that was a better mark that Tarrant's leap over a pack and taking everybody down with him mark vs. Melbourne in 2001. What a farce.Newelly wrote:Don't forget Moorcrofts mark of the year and day he picked up 40 possessions against St Kilda in 1998.

Id take a read before this kid or even a koulariotis. He is tall skinny and reminds me off that other useless essendon hack we traded for , one Andy Ukovic, one of the laziest players to have ever walked through our doors
I suffer from a compulsive manic love for Collingwood disorder.Born with it, cant be treated, cant be cured!!!
