Davis for Wirrpunda
Leon played great on Friday night, but if his heart is set on a return to Perth, I wouldn't mind swapping him for David Wirrpunda.
He averages 15 disposals a game and has another 5 years left in him.
Imagine a backline of:
Wirrpunda Presti Maxwell
Clement Wakelin Jason Cloke

Judd for Davis is pure fantasy! Will not ever happen.
Wirrapunda is class but injuries have curbed his brilliance to a fair degree. Wouldn't be a bad trade, upside for both players. Question is, do West Coast need another one of Leon's type? I think they might be in the market for tall key position players (particularly fwd) and have quite a few of Leon's type on their list already.
Wirrupunda at Collingwood would free up JOhnson to go into the midfield and release Cole to rebound off a back flank where he is capable of providing plenty of run (presuming Wirrapunda plays Back Pocket). At 26 next season, he's got about 5 years of footy in front of him if the often mention injuries he's had haven't already taken too greater toll on his ability.
Backline of:
Wirrupunda, Presti or Wakes, Maxwell
Cole, Walker or J. Cloke, Clement
Doesn't look too shabby for mine. With Hall and the youngest Cloke waiting in the wings and Johnson up onto a wing or in the guts.
Interestingly enough, I think that the emmergence of Maxwell and Cole this year has put Lonie's position in the backline under a real cloud for the future and not only that; his position in the side and perhaps even on the list -as he now looks very tradeable.

The speculation is that Leon wants to go home.
I for one hope not and I think that whilst the club has been very good for him, he too has been good for us.
Agree, his best years look to be right in front of him however, if he does want to go home then you do want to make sure you get something decent in return. That's all there is to it, certainly not suggesting we should shop him off.
