Shaw, another year, swan/king/maxwell/rowe all well worth keeping on, but if we are to do well we have to trade.Maybe Davis? i dunno he showed some good stuff in the centre.
We will have the luxury of our key positions being filled for a while ie
Tarrant/didak
Rocca/ cameron cloke
bucks/wooey/king
presti/wakes
clement/Jason cloke
cole/didak show too much promise to consider trading
fraser/walker rucking filling in.
Now we need to biuld a team around them.Bucks/wooey definites but the rest?
Some serious thinking to be done by the coaching boys lets hope they get it right.

- Kinnear - should have gone 2 years ago,
- Mckee - would keep him for 1 more year as a backup to the backup,
- Williams - was never the same since the rib injury late in 2003 - but with the extra size would be worth 1 more year,
- Davis - Loves the Pies and with extra endurance work over summer will be a Rioli type midfielder - must be kept or he will burn us,
- O'Bree - to the Bombers,
- R Shaw - no ticker - time has run out - gone,
- McGough - cannot perform the correct kicking mechanics when required - gone,
I would like to add -
- Presti - cost us goals every game he played, poor disposal and better value with Tex and Max.
Don't forget we are getting C3 for a 3rd rounder so if we can snag Smith from the Hawks that would be good. MM wanted Murphy (Dogs) last year but could not get him. I think Koops was wasted by the Dogs this year and spent a lot of time in the VFL so could be very cheap. All 3 have good skills and would fit in nicely.
There will be others and the Pies will have 2 very tasty draft picks to use or swap.
I am tipping at least 4 Pies will be traded and at least 1 of the first 2 Picks.
We still have good kids in the Gulls - Hall had a very bad start with the glandular fever.
Wakes we will get 1 more year from but we need to be playing Tex, Max and Crow from the start of 2005.

As Tony Shaw said, Rhyce should go to another club. Like Donvale or Mitcham.

Trade/Delist:
-Benny Kinnear - Sorry buddy but your times up
-Williams - Did a great job tonight and I hope he stays as I see the light. Does MM?
-Nixon - Shaky disposal, small build, hasn't impressed much
-Mullins - He could be of some good value but prehps he will go
-McKee - This is a 50/50 one. I hope he stays but it depends on what MM wants with the ruckmen.
-Crow - He is a solid player who I hope gets another go but will most likely be delisted
-Swan - Could be in hot water, but is expected to stay
-Shacks - I doubt it but it is possible...
-Lokan - Has done well in his short career but won't be a player to carry us forward.
-O'Bree - May have saved his career in recent weeks but is under some real pressure.
We may getone or two nice deals from it.

Wow lots of anti-shaw going on.
I must be the only person who thinks he is improving. His pace makes him so valueable in a team with so little of it. In recent weeks he has run REALLY hard, disposed well. He would be on the bottom of my trade list, however thats just my opinion I guess.
Williams is a joke. Seriously I am sure I could have played AFL with my eyes shut. He is athletically a dero, he is weak as piss and cant kick. He may be a nice bloke, I dunno, but he is not an AFL footy player.
Lokan is skating on thin ice.
Davis... Dam hard decision to make but I recon he may be finally learning how to play the game and as i mentioned before we need to keep all our pace in tact.
McGough. I said it from day 1, this kid has no place in a team with so many blue collar players. Big heart, no skill, no pace.
As much as I hate to say it, Presti could be heading to another club if Malthouse backs Walker in and we get the right offer.
O'bree - If we can get the right trade, let him go. Otherwise keep.
Benny.K - as mentioned. should have been gone ages ago
McKee - With Rocca Fraser Richards Cam Travis and Walker able to ruck, you would think its lights out.
Is Nathan Lonie under contract?

I think Davis has saved his career. He has shown us that he has got the unger and the desire to play well and he has also shown that he has the capacity to play in the middle. Shaw on the other hand, hasn't really proved anything. He has had his good games, against the Lions on Akermainis and against WCE on Judd, but apart from that he hasn't really got back to form. I say we should keep him, as apart from McKee on my above list, he is better then them. Anyway, would that mean that Brayden and Heath would want out? To all those who want Presti traded - forget it. He may seem slow at times and doen't seem to win much of the ball but, when he only gets around four touches - it is most of the time the same with them. He was almost All-Australian last season and he won't be traded. We struggled contianing the big players once Presti and Wakelin were out, therefor NO DEAL.

Players who will be delisted or traded
Mullins - Isn't good enough
Shackleton - Not my idea but MM doesn't seem to favour him
McKee - His style isn't suited to AFL at the highest level
Nixon - See Mullins
O'Bree - Had enough chances and can't recapture his form
Williams - Would like to see him for another year but can we afford to hold him?
I don't put Kinnear on the list as he is contracted. Unless we can find someone willing to trade (maybe for Koops?) he will be here for another year.

'Neon' Leon is one of your biggest problems, he is undisciplined and tries to be the 'show pony' of the team, reminds me of one Jeffrey Farmer at times. Sure he can turn it on in very short bursts but he isn't going to do the team things or win you a game off his own boot. A real liability and you can't afford the luxury of carrying him in the hope that he turns into a superstar - get rid of him before it's too late.
