It was definately a complete team effort. You could give one point to the entire side, if there were enough points available!

However, my 1/2/3:

BOG: (by the proverbial country mile) Josh Fraser. Anyone who harbours any residual doubts that this bloke is a ruckman isn't being reasonable.

2. Magic. Sheer brilliance for the second week running. Did it all.

3. Swannie. Man, this bloke is unreal. Back, midfield, forward; never stopped running and kicked four goals into the bargain.

Honorary mention 1: Heater. This guy must be leading the Rising Star award by the length of the Flemington straight. Tremendous effort.

Honorary mention 2: Bucks. 33, nearly 34, but doesn't seem to have lost a thing. No longer a standout, but in a team of rising stars he still leads the way by personal example.

3. D Swan (Most improved player by a mile...and now adds goal kicking to his game)
2. H Shaw (Provided most of the run out of defence and pushed hard forward)
1. T Lockyer (Towelled up Ablett...unlucky Ablett kicked a goal after the siren)

3. Dane Swan (good attacking and defensive game)
2. Leon Davis (simply brilliant. Everything he did)
1. Heath Shaw (was BOG up to half time. Ran brilliantly off the back flank)

Exactly.

with the same honorary mentions. Although you can probably throw sum the way of Jimmy, Tarks, Carrots as well.

And you're right, surely Shaw is miles in front for the Rising Star. Bit unfair in a Reiwodlt fashion to guys like Daisy and Murphy, cos Shaw has been around for a while, but still, rules are rules. Go Heater Go.

He's quite clearly becoming one of the toughest, and most courageous players in our team. Constantly backs back into an oncoming player to take marks...doesnt even look, just absorbs the hit. He's becoming Sir Scott Burns Jnr... (with less skill by foot at this stage)....and a true credit to the Shaw name.

Hardest its been all year.

3 Fraser - towelled two ruckmen who were thought likely to get better of him
2 Lockyer - thought the drive off the back half early set us up with a blanket on their best deserves him a mention
1 Clement - very good on Chapman - their second best player.

Very tough ... Could easily found votes for 15 players. I'm going with first half efforts (in the main) since Geelong were shot after.
