Happy New Year to all Collingwood members and supporters in the Ballarat District.
With the coming of the new year there have been a few changes in the committee for the Ballarat Country Magpies Supporter Group. After many years as President, Kathy Snowball has stepped down from the role. All members are very grateful to Kathy for the time and effort she has put in and we are very pleased that she is staying on in the role of vice president and will continue to be the "bus boss."

Julie is continuing in the role she has performed for a number of years and Judy, who also assists with the bus bookings, is returning to the committee.
The main purposes of the group is to support the club through providing transport for members to get to the game in a sociable and safe environment and additional support through player sponsorship and fundraising.
This year we will be sponsoring Nathan Brown, who was drafted to Collingwood from local TAC team the Ballarat Rebels. It is particularly pleasing and exciting to be able to sponsor a player from our local area. We all wish Nathan well in his first season at Collingwood.
Last year we held a breakfast before travelling to Melbourne for one of the games. This proved very popular and we are planning to hold another during the coming season. Keep an eye and ear out for the date and time.
We have been able to hold memberships for the season to the same price as in previous years. The bus prices will also be the same as last season barring any unexpected fuel, hire or parking price increase during the year.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month commencing at 7 pm at the Star Cafe and Bar, Lydiard Street North. All members and potential members are welcome to come along and participate and enjoy some social interaction.
