Gavin Brown/Nicks BB Medal Votes Round 12 v Sydney

Post by Johnson#26 »

3: T.Cloke
2: D.Thomas
1: S.O'Bree

And hats off to Burnsy (superstar), Martin Clarke, Heath Shaw, Guy Richards (was quite impressive, not a vote-getter but I was pleased), Maxwell, Goldsack, Fraser definitely, Jonno (in particular that first half), Big Anthony (one of his finest), Tarks, Swanny's second half, Wakes stood tall and strong all night, one of his finest hours, Licca...I could go on. Vote now.

Can't give Trav 3 when he is kicking like that! Still a good game by Cloke though.

2. H Shaw
1. A Rocca

Aside from Daisy was hard to pick out other votes.

3. Shane Wakelin

1. Rocca.

And a well done to Burns, Goldy and Shaw.
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

I must admit, I never thought I'd have Shane Wakelin in my best players. Sure, he was a handy pick-up from the Saints, but I thought his best was past him. But tonight he's finished well out in front of the other boys...

Many, many contributors all over the ground, but I think it's only fair that the undermanned defence gets recognition:

3. Shane Wakelin
2. Nick Maxwell
1. Tyson Goldsack

Those three were superb (as well as Heater, Stanley and Tarks) and of course Clokey, Thomas, Clarkey, Burns and Rocca all unlucky not to get votes.

Special mention to Wakes, Heater, Moneybags and Stano. Can't wait to see what the young lad from Ireland is like with another couple under his belt.
