Another Spanish snore fest. They should get back to the original concept of the Champions League only having the champions of each league in it. This was like a second-rate league fixture. Just an opportunity for a genuine international spectacle completely lost.

At least if we were at the San Siro for the Milan derby, we'd feel like we were in the right place, watching for a reason.

Nah, only the Atletico supporters are heartbroken - the players are talking to their bank managers about which small third-world countries they should buy.

Pepe was trying very hard to win himself an academy award with some of his acting during the game. Especially during the extra time period where he was slapped and acting as if he took a punch.

There was a debate on beIn Sports about Ronaldo and if he was their best penalty taker why didn't he take the first one. Seemed one commentator thought he just liked taking the last one because he can cover himself in glory but thought it a waste of time if they didn't get to the fifth penalty.
